  • 16 cars i would put more

  • What gauge is this?

  • It is H0, there ar no G scale trains of the Dutch railways.

    Only home build examples

  • @bobrodenburg there are a couple of 'stoom en spoor'if its stil existing

  • What scale is your model train? HO? Or larger? I'm looking to make a G scale Dutch train. Have you ever seen one? Does anyone make one?

  • Very nice film.

  • Very clearly to see in the first shot: probably the most common mistake when using overhead power lines: bend them to follow the track's curve. Of course this is not possible, and so what would happen in real life is a straight short power line to cover part of the curve. Once you pay attention to this it becomes a very unnatural sight.

  • Lovely layout - why both pantographs down?

  • @Biraphile To risky

  • does any1 know where i can get the Atlantic coast express model from along with the carriages?

  • 16 wagons i think

  • 16! That has to cost something!

  • do you know where to get pantographs? i always wonder where i can get some and how high they rise compared to my IHC GG1s. cool train by the way!

  • Sommerfeldt and most modeltrain brands like Roco Piko & Marklin

  • @bobrodenburg thank you!

  • this is great but since your layout is wired why don't you use the pantograph for the loco?

  • To much wear to the pantograph

  • very nice that shows that train models from Lima dont need to hide behind the mighty German Companys like Trix,Maerklin or Fleischmann or ROCO.

Nicely done enjoy your awesome Hobby

I have Models from LIMA and Mehano too

  • Lima haves some nice modeltrains in there old catalog like the dutch NS IRM (bil level train)

  • This is why they invented paperclips.

  • @blindcynic Because pantographs aren't very reliable on HO scale..An you have to mess with your loco to make that happen

  • its 16 passenger cars, not freight, plus it wouldnt be anywhere normal to have a 100 car passenger car train.

  • Nice!

  • longest model train on MY LAYOUT!, all my Dutch carriages:

    it's not a record

  • Nice train! i feel jelous that you have such a large catenary set! Vollmer or what?

The layout looks pretty. Only thing that looks terrible is the turn radius.. It just way too sharp for the train to look right when it runs the turn on such a high speed.

This radius is sutable more for shorter european style vagons and locomotives.

Well i i guess that's because you don't have a planty of room to make bigger radius.

    Still- awesome layout!

  • Don't take youtube so serieus!

  • @ htmtram

Ja de langste trein ter wereld (1601 d8 ik)

  • 16 maar, ergens had ik 60 icr gezien met een 1600 er voor ;)

  • i have seen mutch longer trains

  • ive seen longer thn that lol much longer

  • NS Train :P

    Dutch Traisn Rulez, lol XD

  • 16 cars

  • awesome layout #########

  • strong 1200:P

  • 17 caridges thats cool

  • Longest model train in the world was in New Jersey, 501 cars

  • schitterend, suc6 met je hobby

  • Cool vid- I've pulled 120 NMRA freight cars, 40 and 50 foot, with my ABA powered set of F3's. Also gotta set of FA-1's that'll do the same.

  • It looks like the cars are drifting!

  • I only counted 16 cars

  • i think the turning radius is too small.

  • very nice layout, but I do agree about the turning radius being too small for those long cars

  • Cool!

  • Wow bet the wife is most proud

  • Do you know me ? ;-)

  • Hey I had 2o acres of track and their were 12 moters and 213 cars not counting the moters

It was pritty long for that,

How long was the one from the NS?

  • i ran one that was 124 cars long in HO scale. 16 cars dont quiet make it homie

  • it almost takes up all the track space!

  • ive seen a 90 car thrai in o scale

  • Northlandz is still the World's Largest Model RR , with eight miles of HO Scale Track!

Flemington NJ. It's worth the trip......

  • the Miniatur-Wunderland (also H0 scale) has at the moment about 13 kilometers(=8.08 miles); when zhey're ready with the planed parts it will have about 22,5 kilometers (=14 miles!); how big is the Northlandz? I haven't heard about it; the Miwula is built on 1500 squaqre meters (just the model) and about 900 trains with more than 11000 waggons, switched by 40 computers; further: 2500 turnouts, 1000 signals, 360000 lights, 215000 trees and about 210000 inhabitants.

  • On my modelrailway my Intercity trains have normaly 10 to 12 wagons; in the Miniaturwunderland Hamburg, the biggest modelrailway in the world, there's a one train which which is 14,51 meters long!!! They just made a neew record in a footballstadium: that train was pulled by just 8 engines and had 2212 wagons!!!!!!

  • Yet the record apparently was in Netherlands/Belgium in 1989--Seventy carriages...about 5,800 feet long...pulled by a single e-locomotive. Then again, BeNeLux is relatively flat countryside.

  • The Beijing-Lhasa run ... hmmm ... that one has a LOT of cars!

  • 16 cars long not including the cab

  • WHEN DOES IT END Lol

  • the "scilla" night train has 14 cars... this has 2 cars more

  • its only 16 cars.

  • i have a problem with mine... i have an o scale pennsylvania 6-8-6, and the lights go on and the sounds work, but i cant get it to move an inch... i pushed it and two days ago the lights flashed and it sounded like an alarm... smoke came out with out any smoke liquid in it! how can i fix this?

  • Ah Nice handle with the Camera........

  • iv seen thoughs like really detailed really really tiny scaled trains that have almost 600 cars and it just gos around half a gym floor or table set up

  • seen waaaay longer model trains

  • Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong

  • Ive see some trains on you tube here that are N scale that have any ware for 30 to 50 carts and I only counted 16 cars on this one

  • dayum!

  • its not the longest

  • Those bends looks way too sharp.

  • I know aye?

  • i have seen way longer ones

  • i've seen longer lol

  • Thats alot of coaches!

  • how long iz tha longest model train or tha world?

  • Not sure, but you could try checking out Northlandz or the San Diego Model Railroad Museum. Those layouts can support looong trains.

  • great vid! is the sound its making because of the weight its pulling?

  • Its the old fasion Marklin motor...

  • tylko dlaczego te tramwajowe łuki :/

  • How the hell can a train operate with pantographs down?

  • electric to the rails

  • Almost ;-)

  • what gauge is it? is it 0 or 00

  • it is H0

  • yay HO!

  • cool video

  • Fantastic Layout and Train, it's sad how envious some folks can be, they just have to post negative comments, obviously you have spent a lot of time building and posting this fine layout, and I for one appreiciate your fine modeling job.

  • Only 16 cars - come on, I've run bullet trains that long. Models such as the Indian Pacific and the Ghan (Australia), the California Zephyr (USA) and heaps more run at more than 16 passenger carriages.

  • Can you understand this: (uuh,..almost ;-)

    Its not a serieus attempt

  • My City of Los Angeles is 20 cars.

  • train kef longes train in the world golqm kef

  • its a dutch train

  • only 16 coaches :O

  • OMG THAT POOR LOCOMOTIVE

you of all people should know that would take two motors to pull, you can hear it screaming

  • Its a Marklin, they always scream ;-)

  • oh , well still use two, they will last longer

  • not above *under lol

  • paper, + Fleischmann profi rail

  • oh... thanks!

  • What do you put above the track? Do you put cork?

  • i do rc helis. trains helis and rc cars r expensive

  • Nice layout. I wish I had room for one. I'd have HO models of TGV and Eurostar.

    tot seenz!

  • I went to a model club in florida that had a UP coal train with like 50 cars.

  • On the first turn it looked as tho the carridges wer driftin But... v.good vid!!!

  • oh...very good....but it wasn t expensiv..??

  • it is an expensiv hobby...

  • BRILLANT

  • wonderful layout. bravo! i am an o gauge guy living in an ho scale world

  • On 2006 in Lisbon show a E19 from fleischmann have the world record. 1350 cars !!..

  • ive had longer i had 22 on one train it still moved quite fast all the carages were pulman 1st class thats all i had :s

i wished that the train in the netherlands where realy that long!

  • Very nice layout, but OH! the overhang around the turns is almost painful to watch! What radius are you using for them? If that's 22" radii, then I think I'm going to use flex track when I build my pike....I apologize for sounding like a nitpicker....it's still a grand layout! Just need to use shorter passenger cars that don't swing out as much.... 5/5

  • My layout is now changed but there is not much room for a bigger layout.

  • mooie colectie

  • my club broke the record a long time ago with a train recorded at 500 cars, without DCC. They did it when DCC was an urban legand, a myth.

  • fukinhell, is there a video that

  • molto bello

  • By the way, how many passenger cars are in this movies ?

    A great movies. 5 Stars

  • 16 in the same colors (blue, yellow)

  • Do you have other cars like tank car, flat car, gondola car, hopper car ?

What is the line of your blue & yellow passenger car ?

    Regards from Jakarta Indonesia

  • The longist Model Train by the Gunnisis Book of world records was over 400 cars long, it operated in a High school gym on one long cintinues loop of track.

  • There is an older record of an 'O' Gauge train of 751 cars and 10 locomototives which stretched 685 feet (207.7m). Boxcars used in the train were stamped with a Guinness logo commemorating the event, and turn up on secondary markets from time to time.

Guinness though, only recognizes the number of cars in a train and not the actual length, so the current recordholder (about 110m) is only a little more than half the length of the 'O' Gauge record attempt.

  • Cut to the bloopers where the train hits it's own back end like a game of snake.

  • fantastico video 5 star

  • Connect the last car to the engine and THEN it's the longest.

  • i made longer
