  • Forget the "low and slow" bullshit. That plane was HAULING ASS. Probably around 600 mph or thereabouts, unless someone else has info I don't have.

  • The BUFF is and eerie sounding aircraft, but I like it.

  • I wonder if Americans would love this video, if another country would use those planes to drop bombs on you?

  • @candon1972 We don't get bombs dropped on us because of planes like the B-52!

  • Awesome. Period.

  • Whats is the gas mileage on that? :)

  • B-52, SR-71, F-4. I think there won't be any planes ever which will look better than them. Never.

  • アメリカは偉大だ(((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))かっこエエな~B52

  • the most environmetally friendly plane ever

  • @lokifea05 lol my thoughts exactly

  • now open the bomb-bay doors and LET HER RIP.

  • FOR MANY A VIETCONG AND NVA SOLDIERS, THIS WAS THE LAST SOUND THEY HEARD.

  • that's got to be one of the FASTEST B-52 fly-by's ever lol she came and went lol

  • The most masculine aircraft in the sky........

  • Beautiful. :) I never thought of them as BUFFs. I thought of them as gorgeous (and NOISEY) heavyweight sailplanes ---that just happened to have engines. But then, I started my flying in sailplanes, so that long wingspan really was a hit with me. And yes, btw, they really do have "training wheels" near the wingtips to keep them from dragging the ground under full fuel...and they really do take off and land in "backwards" configuration.

  • that's the sound of a deadly whistle!

  • I had a Vauxhall Vectra that smoked less than this plane- it failed the MOT on emissions and was scrapped :(

  • my dad used to train the attack guard dogs during the Cold War that protected the BUFF (big ugly fat (fellow or fuck)).

  • nice run BUFF

  • The USAF has switched from AVGAS to coal, as an economy measure.

  • Boner-rific.

  • whenever i watch videos like that i know why i have been loving airplanes for about 15 years of my 18 year old life. stunning

  • So that's the sound of your city being bombed...

  • love that engine whistle!

  • and they say cars are bad for the environment. fuck it!

  • That is one Big Ugly Fat Fellow.

  • i think during the climb, + rate must have been off the scale :D

  • When I was in SAC, there was a revivalry between bombers & missles. You should see what it is like to be on a missile site, and get "buzzed" by a B-52, or B-1. They can scare the crap out of you.

  • Cool video. Thanks.

  • The little fluffy vapors you saw on it's wings as it climbed, was God's little angels giving it a lift.

  • Bah! My Buff today wouldn't come below 3k for a show of force. It took all my discipline not to get on the radio and make chicken noises.

  • Best flypast ever.

  • I didnt realize how big that fucking thing was untill it starting turning

  • That bird can move! damn

  • holy shit this sound was awesome! anybody knows if a b 52 come to the german ILA next year?

  • Pulling vapor!

  • I've always wondered why we spent all that money on the B-2. We just needed to build some more B-52s. The original cost was $45 million each. The B-1 costs $250 million and the B-2 costs $1700 million.

  • @rickcain2320 Because reality is the B-52 wouldn't have gotten past modern SAM and Soviet Fighters in The Soviet Union....Fighters don't have the fuel to escort them the entire way.

  • i think i just found something new to masturbate to

  • That was Rad

  • 'Merica !!!

  • ....magic....... and mostly 50 years in service.

  • Outstanding aircraft

  • I've always known it's a big plane, I've even seen it at a couple of airshows but I never really appreciated how ridiculously long it's wings are until 0:30 in this clip.

  • Thats one slow lead sled...

  • Is this the same pilot that crashed at Fairchild AFB?

  • FYI~ H model = no water injection.

  • I smell 8 killstreak here.

  • I smell 8 killstreak here.

  • The smoke from the engines is due to water injection; used to increase fuel efficiency, a lot of the old turbojet engines (KC-135A, RC-135, etc.) also used water injection systems, which is why they smoked so bad.

  • @shawnp62 I may stand corrected but I dont think the H-model had water injecton. IF it did, it would not have been operating during this video. The water inj was to increase takeoff power only. All the water would be consumed at that time. The TF-33's were smokey all the time, just an old design! Godspeed to them, beautiful screaming glory!

  • Man that noise is just awesome! its like a cigar for my ears

  • Screaming engines!!! And I think I heard a canadian in the backround!

  • look at that, a?

  • B-52 the best bomber in history, longest serving, best range, most feared! Russias wimpy TU-160s,TU-22Ms are nothing compared to the BUFF

  • An amazing plane.. period.

  • You can actually see the wingtips flexing upward!

  • @77bubba00 ... i think the flex is about 8 feet total

  • @Earssss I think you're right. I remember one being diverted to Dyess when I was there and when it taxied in, the tip gear were a few feet off the ground. Once we refueled it, they touched the ground and compressed quite a bit.

  • @77bubba00 ,, ya that is what i can remember from the crew chief when i was young n use to play on them all day,, ,the wings made a good place to run on for a kid hahaah

  • Kind of lame, 3 days ago, I was at lunch and one of these burst out of cloud cover barely 150 ft off the ground, and it had shit going all around it. IT WAS SO COOL.

  • how fast was it going would you say

  • @scoobersteve2010 I would say not quite 500 mph

  • Holy shit! Must be one of the best interceptors in the world ;-)

  • What's the Gas Guzzler tax on one of these? $5 mill?

  • That's the sound of freedom right there!

  • wtf? is just fuiiiiiii!l!

  • That is an AMAZING wingspan. Can really see that in the bank towards the end of the vid.

  • Beautiful! I wonder, does the tail smoke has anything to do with these engines are build to run at that high altitude? I mean on that altitude the air are much thinner than on the ground..? Any expert?

  • @seenfromsweden The smoke has nothing to do with being built for high altitude operation really. It's just unburned hydrocarbons (fuel). Because the basic design of the Pratt & Whitney TF33-103 engine is over 50 years old, therefore they're not the cleanest burning engines around... But they look awesome, and sound bad ass, so I wouldn't have it any other way!

  • @LateNightCable The BUFF rocks my world, here in Australia, they have been around in the past flying over the Grand Prix, ever year I went to see it ,the 52 was either recalled, cancelled due to poor weather, or off bombing the shit outta the bad guys, 23 years and still counting till I get to see one and cream my pants. LONG LIVE THE BUFF!!

  • @LateNightCable It's water injection for added power.

  • @dirac33 Water injection was utilized only on models equipped with J57 turbojets (B-52G and before), and only for takeoff power. The B-52H, like in the video, was the only model equipped with the newer, more advanced turbofan engines. And never had water injection, because the more powerful engines deemed it unnecessary.

  • @LateNightCable WRONG. The engine in the B-52H is the TF33-P-3 engine. Get your facts staight.

  • @superskullmaster P-3/103, it's the same engine troll, go act smart somewhere else.

  • @LateNightCable Troll? Just because I correct you, you start name calling. LOL. As far as acting smart, it sounds like you have confidence issues in yourself. Hell information is free these days, it doesn't take much to Wiki something(you get the point). People who know me, know I don't have to ACT anyway. But this is the internet, its easier to assume i'm some random teenager troll than a 28 year old former Airforce A&P mechanic working at Lockheed. Not to mention a life of aviation obsession.

  • @superskullmaster Yeah, I said troll. There was no need for correction. You're merely a frustrated jerk looking to start a petty argument on YouTube, regardless of what you are, or claim to be, get a life. So I'll just let your comment die, end of discussion.

  • @LateNightCable If anyone is frustrated its you. I'm not the one name calling. So I will end this rediculousness while you stay a fool.

  • Look at the BUFF moving out !

  • thats the kind of noise my car exhaust makes

  • Now I got wood!

  • lol all the smoke XD the engines self should be considert as chemicale warfare XD

  • Holy ****

  • SCREAMIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fucking sweet

  • dang, thats a huge wingspan. Which base holds these planes?

  • Yesss, great pass, loved it...

  • Is this the same hot dog pilot that crashed at Fairchild AFB in 1994?

  • Yeah, I'm fully erect now. Lordy to have have been on the ground watching that BUFF fly by at that altitude!!!!!! Wow!!! Thanks for posting.

  • General "Buck" Turgidson: If the pilot's good, see, I mean if he's reeeally sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low... oh you oughta see it sometime. It's a sight. A big plane like a '52... varrrooom! Its jet exhaust... frying chickens in the barnyard!

  • Fucking Awesome sound!!!!!!!

  • Awesome plane that stood the test of time. B-52's rule and will be the workhorse bomber for the forseeable future.

  • Oh, can you email me that tail number if you find it? pakman0033@yahoo.com

  • Do you know the tail # of that B-52H? I once worked on 0033. Great video. Thx!

  • It's crazy it flies nose down. I imagine it flies level at altitude or with a load.

  • hey everyone look america sent a RC pla!- wait what the fuck THEY SENT A REAL ONE!!

  • I would so hate to be an American enemy and hear that thing coming toward me......

  • @fdjcengine2 DAMMED STRAIGHT.

  • sound of the death!

  • Hope they NEVER re-engine them!!

  • Jesus McChrist that is awesome fast! That bird is a fucking Legend and still cool after all those years! Btw. was this filmed in ArmA 2? ;-) Very nice, man!

  • Imagine you're at war with some one and you hear that distinctive scream what would you do?

  • @suprchrgr70 bend over, place head between legs and say goodbye to your ass

  • @suprchrgr70 Hail a cab?!

  • people prob think hes high but the funny thing is hes prob riddig the ground effect haha

  • @l8fbb23451 ... ground effect is = to the length of one wing high off the ground ,,, so my pick would be no he is not ... i can not measure it from here lol

  • @Earssss I understand what ground effect is. it was a figure of speech :D

  • I didn't think those things were structurally built that well, especially the aging fleet..

  • how how many feet/galon . does it make?

  • @dodoslovensko -12.

  • @dodoslovensko More like how many gallons per mile.

  • @FrogSteaks1 o how many gallons per mile does it need?

  • @dodoslovensko Max range is around 14000km, Fuel tank capacity around 312,179 pounds which converts roughly to 46000 gallons. 3.2 gallons per kilometer. kilometer= 3280 feet.

    tl;dr 1000 feet per gallon.

  • @dodoslovensko 10 miles to the gallon, but it holds almost 48,000 gallons

  • Comment removed

  • @MattB613 I don´t think this plane could do 480.000 miles without a tank stop.Maybe 1 mile per 10 gallons.You´re too optimistic :-)

  • @morepower2k maybe i read the wrong number. I read the gallons in the tank and the range or something then did some math. but the other number (combat range) was waaayyy smaller so yah I don't know.

  • @dodoslovensko I remember calculating this once, in a flight simulator. it's several gallons per mile, don't remember how many. a couple thousand feet per/gallon. lol

  • @dodoslovensko .... it burns about 50k gallons for 10k miles,, so about .....0.2 miles per gallon lol

  • @dodoslovensko How many generations has your family been inbreeding?

  • @syncade dunno . u tell me your grandpa perfected it.

  • Look at that awesome low nose attitude!

  • Never thought I'd love a high-pitched shriek like this

  • The screams are music to my ears. A sound to enjoy over and over again.

  • The whistle monster..... meaning of death ;D

  • There running the water injectors into the engines to increase the Octane..

Thats why there is lots of Black smoke...Early single stage Jets use this method

somthing you would not to on a fan jet...

  • @Naoko1960 Actually, it has nothing to do with the octane. Water injection cools the engines so they can operate at a higher power setting and not overtemp them. I flew 747-100's that had water injection and the engines were the JT-9D 7A engines. These were turbofan engines.

  • it looked almost like it was about to make mach 1.

  • DAM!! that sound gives me chills!...Bad ass!

  • ENEMY B-52 INBOUND!!!!!!!!!run like hell

  • I'd be scared as fuck if I was an enemy of the U.S. and I heard that badass comin towards me!!

  • built to do that for one single reason. low level high speed delivery of nuclear warheads directly into the heart of the soviet union... awesome.

  • B-52 is a beautiful plane it's a shame all these cod fags are here and spoli the vidoe with their stupid game.

  • It's easy to think of the Buff as a slow-moving aircraft until you see it like this.

  • i have an orgasm when ever i have the rolling thunder killstreak

  • AHHH LOOK AT THE SIZE OF IT!!!

  • I love the sound of the screaming TF33s.

  • The 8 people that disliked this are terrorists or are envious dictators in the Middle East who aren't cool enough to have these planes

  • The sound of the B52 is unmistakable, majestic and one of its kind; that blend of roaring power and hi pitch hiss is simply amazing. I had the luck to see this monster just a couple of times in my life while taking off from Aviano USAF airbase in northern Italy; hope to see it again.

  • I think I just had an eargasim!!! I would not want to be on the recieving end of a B-52 bombing run.

  • The PW TF-33 on the "H" does not use water augmentation. The J-57 on the "G" did. This flyby was about ten years ago; speed was approx. 280 knots (110 knots below Vmo); throttles were @ 85% (110% is max power).

  • That black stuff you see coming from those 8 engines is actually from the B-52's water injection system. At high thrust settings the B-52 actually injects water into the fuel/air mixture. Google B-52 water injection.

  • @chuckzxcvbnm That's odd, I heard it was 'cause they were still burning coal. ;-)

  • @squirtjosie7 shut up hippie

  • @LAFD27explorer WTF- Its a joke, you self-righteous fool.

  • Love the sound!

  • After all these years the BUFF is still a thing of beauty

  • Those engines were at MAX thrust did you see the smoke as the were struggling to get the plane up to speed

  • THE DRIVER :)

  • I can almost feel the smell of freedom. It smells like partially unburnt kerosene...

  • Any ideas what speed that was?

  • HOW THE HELL DID THIS VIDEO GET 8 DISLIKES what the fuck were they expecting when they clicked on this....?a B52 crashing??? topless girls having sex....fucking idiots

  • @lilcarnage HAHAHAHA! I couldn't have said it better myself. Thumbs Up.

  • @lilcarnage No doubt!! There's nothing cooler than a B-52. :-)

  • @lilcarnage maybe they're black ops bitches expecting and rolling thunder -.- i hate black ops

  • @lilcarnage Actually, I was expecting a pilot high from speed and listening to the B52s...

  • Sweet

  • 0:10 to 0:20 u can hear my vaf part of the high speed pass

  • its like satire of the us

  • The cloud over the wings is a common physical phenomenon. It's due to low pressure that causes localized low air temperature, condensing atmospheric water vapor into visible water droplets. You'll notice it starts at 0:18 when the B-52 loads on some G and begins climbing. You'll also see it if you fly on a moist day on most airliners just after takeoff.

  • The Old Man still has it.

  • we sure got ours money worth with that machine.

  • 8 people hate our military and therefore are useless.

  • just look at all that pollution...I LOVE IT! hahahahaha

  • Are these the types of planes you can see in the sky leaving a white cloud strip behind them?

  • @dpimpchris The term for what you're calling "a white cloud strip" is "contrail." All piston- and jet-engined aircraft can form them, depending on altitude, temperature, and moisture content of the air.

  • @dpimpchris Every jet (commercial, military, anything) leaves a white stripe in the sky. It just depends on what altitude they are.

  • super great sound !!!!

  • When I was in the Air Force, I took my Dad to see the B52's at the base I was stationed at. There happened to be three taking off for a training flight at the time. I remember it was the only time I ever heard my Dad say "holy fuck". That was a great day for him, and me too.

  • 400th like =]

  • Damn wrong video this should be "F-4 5 feet low!!" -.-

  • why does it look bigger the further away it gets lol

  • That pilot got BAWLZ O' STEEL!!!!!

  • They are HUGE!!!!!!!!
