No. It did come out. I had both. You can tell because the American NES2 is curved, and the AV Famicom is flat.

look at av famicom and nes2 on wikipedia.

compare the pictures, they're almost the same. just the american one is curved at the top because we had longer cartridges.

yeah the NES 2 is extremely hard to find and rare, I don't think it was sold for very long, and the gameboy micro is still for sale out there, check any big store that carries video games. Altho i'm not surprised you haven't heard of the micro, it's extemely unpopular lol, i don't know a single person who owns one.
