Neotango is more about music. It uses non-traditional tangos like much of Piazzolla. Plus tangos performed with non-traditional instruments, such as electronic keyboards. And, neotango music goes so far as to use non-tangos that someone feels retain some essential character of tango. For example, Depeche Mode's "Enjoy the Silence" was re-recorded by the electronic tango bands, Tanghetto.
Yep it was born in germany in the in the "gethos" that where some argentine meetings, with tango and electronic music the first group in explore this was tanghetto, you can hear the imigrant a really good song from this group
it looks like "regular" tango because Nuevo tango is not about totally getting rid of old tango, but re-imagining its physical side. It breaks the old tango down into simpler movements, and uses the disciplines of ballet and modern dance to put them back together. So leaders can invent new "steps" and followers new "decorations."
You can hold your partner with just one hand, for instance. This lets one or the other to spin in place. Or release both hands BUT keeping a "virtual" connection.
That is great. One of my all-time favorite songs. I think anyone who has a dance partner they practice with like that, where you feel the magic even though you're only "practicing," can relate to and love this clip.

Very nice dancing, love the music. I just don't see whats "neotango" about their style...looks like a regular and not innovative tango at all.
