  • nice sound quality GJ

  • GITS'S OST was made by Kanno-san but this track is a creation of Scott Matthew, and he also does the vocals.

  • @MsThanathos Nope it's not a Scott Matthew creation. It's actually like this

    Lyrics: Tim Jensen

    Music: Yoko Kanno

    Vocals: Scott Matthew

But I wouldn't have it sung by anyone else if it makes you feel better. His voice is perfect for the song. :)

  • ...isn't Lithium a element?

  • @234Spotman Yes, it's commonly used in electronics (Ghost in the Shell is heavily about cybernetics).

    @skybeets

    Song=About Motoko

    Golden=Awesome

#9=Organization she works for which she is the heart/brains of

    Incred Math=Hacker/Brilliant (She's a Cyborg)

Is she really Human/Lithium Flower=GitS is about the line between humans and machines

    Surf=Internet Surfing

If you don't get it, check out Ghost in the Shell

  • @reaperoa Thank you for this. I will check up on all of this. c:

  • @234Spotman An* Element, and yes, it's known as the most instable element of the periodic board.

  • @MsThanathos Missed the 'n'. =A=;

And I see. o3o Interesting. This call for more research.

  • @234Spotman Yes, it is a floating metal that's a known treatment for bipolar disorder.

  • @sivrel It... floats? How?!

...Where can I get this? There is someone I wish to treat...

  • @234Spotman It's a density thing. How you get it I don't know.

  • @sivrel Oh well. :P Somethings I don't have to get.

  • loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Is she a magikarp?

  • just incredible math!

  • Fish

  • No5

  • mine.

  • Lithium Flower was performed by Scott Matthew, with lyrics by Tim Jensen. While Yoko Kanno I believe did the majority of the rest of the soundtrack.

  • @RedEyesDarkness341 its not that randoom lol its about Motoko

  • @pinkypinkstery Yup, sometimes I think "how did she stays so golden solo?" or "where did she learn how to surf while being so cold and human, so matador, so calm, so oil on a fire?"

And the only reasonable explanation I found so far it because she's so number nine!.....

  • That is a fucking epic bass line.

  • I would like to state that this song is simply amazing. As for what your all wondering. This song was written by Yoko Kanno but the singer is Scott Matthew, Yoko Kanno is the person who created the beat for this song and some of the lyrics. Yes this song is random and only somewhat goes off the series it was made for which is what make sit so amazing!

  • Gotta love the dark voice of the singer.

  • killer base line

  • She is a random number, a random walk, a random surf. a number 9

  • it's a trap! lol

  • wouldn't be cool to enter this realm of animation so to speak, yet it be real an not what we see it as now, i heard that there workin on a way to link our minds using some type of optical wires since it doesn't cause infection under our skin so much, its more so plastic i believe. that'd be so cool.

  • @245Trioxinated Where did you here that, i would like read more up on it, it seems really interesting

  • @245Trioxinated Okay I don't want to burst your bubble but that sounds like .Hack stuff

  • The Song is sung by Scott Matthew but produced by Yoko Kanno für Ghost in the Shell: Stand alone Complex

  • No dislikes, and that is the way it should be. :)

  • Do you still have this graphic? Can't find it anywhere. Assuming it's K-On, right?

  • omg can u send me this song pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee

  • is that a k-on pic?

  • What is "golden solo"?

  • Where can I find the recording? The GITS album has a song by this name but is not this song, not Scott Matthew - can't find on Amazon either.

  • zero dislikes i see why this is a wonderful and beautifully put together video great timing with words and music

  • pero la canta scott matthew

  • its not song by matthew scott???

  • I miss when GITS was on Adult Swim... T_T And this song kicks ass btw. I like how the lyrics were tied into the show.

  • @Godofwar555 It still is, Saturdays at 3:00 am, they play 2 episodes. btw have u seen the movies! incredible!

  • @Godofwar555

It's still on Adult Swim. It comes on on Sunday mornings at ... 3:00am and 6:00am, depending on whether you're watching Cartoon Network East or West. I just record it to my DVR and watch it that way.

  • I love this song. And G.i.t.S. also. ;-]

  • this is scott matthew not yoko kanno

  • @koser5368 yoko kanno composed it the vocals are done by scott mathews

  • @malevolenceXXXensues

    Thanks, Was exactly wondering that...

  • Whenever I hear GitS music I think of one thing.

    Lolmateba

  • The thing with the lyrics is that they make a lot more sense with the message of the anime for me. Each one may interpret it differently with or without seeing the series of course, but I think is really related to that

  • When i first heard this on Pandora, i thought they said shes incredible Meth x]

  • Yoko Kanno is the COMPOSER. I keep seeing arguements between whose the Artist, Yoko Kanno or the Seatbelts. Yoko Kanno is the COMPOSER. Not the one who performs it.

  • @foxdemonkikyo Yoko Kanno Composed The Music.Tim Jensen Wrote Lyrics and Scott Matthew did Vocals

  • yoko kanno is the creator of this song right not ghost in the shell???

  • @IIIArrow711

i wrote that the interpret is yoko kanno

sure "ghost in the shell" is not the creator,

it is just an anime movie :D

  • Comment removed

  • @XxkitavaxX

Yoko Kanno wrote the music and Scott Matthew sang it.

  • @XxkitavaxX its not from any of the movies. its the ending song from the first season of "ghost in the shell"

  • @XxkitavaxX The interpret of the song is Scott Mathew, not Yoko Kanno. Yoko Kanno is a woman...

  • This song is awesome! But the lyrics are so random...

  • @skybeets Well that's because it's about drug abuse... Lithium is a medication for people with manic disorders and can be easily abused, I'm sure. At least, I'm pretty sure that is what this song is about.

  • @skybeets The lyrics aren't random, they're actually tightly related to the GITS series/films. But I guess you could consider them random when you're not familiar with the GITS universe and the Major.

@AshesofHarumi Lithium is not only a strong medication for depressive people, it's also an element used in batteries and High-Tech stuff, so there could be various ways of interpreting these lines, all related to the Major somehow, which makes the song even more interesting.

  • @skybeets

the lyrics arent so random if one knew the premise of the series and one interprets "surf" as kusanagi surfing the digital world.

  • @hariharannarayananyo

I had a sinking feeling that "surf" meant something other than the water sport, but your comment has really put the pieces together for me. Thank you so much! I do love the show and the song.

  • @skybeets Not extremely random, they do have some relavence

  • @skybeets That's part of yoko Kanno's style.

Its a mix of latin and bunch of others (some aren't real languages) which she uses not to say something but to make the vocalist another instrument.

  • @skybeets the lyrics actually make plenty of sense, in reference to Kusanagi :D

  • @skybeets well they are not THAT random if you have seen the movies/series ;)

  • @skybeets watch ghost in the shell it will all make sense

  • @skybeets Pretty sure that it's all metaphors related to her being a hacker, though it seems to run with the metaphor too far sometimes.

  • awesome song,

although the lyrics would make more sense if it was meth and suffering.

it sounds kinda like thats what he is saying, and the song is kinda drug-esque.

  • @FOXtrot1139 i agree wit you. :-)

  • amazing song!

  • so true
