They performed with great energy! I agree though that it's a little too heavy on Bollywood rather than Bhangra, but overall I liked it! The outfits did not look Punjabi - which would have been a better choice - however they looked good anyways, very colorful!

I've seen a lot of Indian dance in my life. And it's a shame that those good dancers don't come up and show themselves to the world. These dancers on the show are not that good. I was not that thrill to see these dancers performing on the show, it's really disappointing because I've seen the best.

I find it amazing that the most critized dance (of all the episodes this season) is the one that's also the most viewed.

I may not know the technicalities of different styles of Indian dance, but I still think they did an awesome job and I still love watching it.

What r the dancers wearing? Not the least bit Punjabi, and the dancing is worse. I'm surprised NBC couldn't fly someone like Vaibhavi or Saroj Khan over, they do shows like this in India this is a disgrace to Indian dance.

What I can never understand is why these dancing shows can't hire a decent camera operator!!! Seriously, it's a bit like watching frickin' Blair Witch!! I agree with most of the posters that this dance could have been a lot better, but then for all we know it WAS, we just didn't see a bit of it because of all the camera angles and ridiculous closeups! How irritating!!!!

This is totally the dancers fault. the choreography is perfect for this kind competition. The dancers were night sharp.  There movements lacked tension and synchronicity. It's a shame.

Thats true, kids in school annual functions in India dance much better than them. On what standards were these the chose ones to represent India. its such a flop show. Take a look at dancers in Dance India Dance on Zee Tv and Nach Baliye, Jhalak Dikhla Ja for the Bollywood Dance, and classical can be best seen in any of the gharana schools. Look at the Kathak that girl did, shameful. Though Maithili did a good job. Judges were all just. I liked all the judges.

This is NOT bhangra! Only that one acrobat step is bhangra. The costumes are good but they are not apt for bhangra. They should ve stuck to the basics and punjabi music....They should get some real choreographers from India and not Americanized one...

I personally liked this choreography seeing that they did this with the spirit of India and celebration...which is the core of this form of dance. And Bollywood dance is a movie meaning they have much more rehearsal time they can stop the film when someone messes up and they arent suffering from the stresses of jet lag. Mind they couldve done better but they did display the spirit of Hindustan.

Bhangra is a PUNJABI dance. Punjab is in both India and Pakistan. This song is neither Punjabi nor are those moves Bhangra moves. Bhangra requires proper dress, Turbans, and movement that these individuals did NOT do. They actually killed what Bhangra really is. If you're Punjabi you know what I'm talking about. But more can we expect? India, Bollywood always hurting Punjab.

I completely agree with you. This was a good effort, but the choreography was rather mediocre compared to the impressive Indian dance choreography that we're used to seeing in Bollywood.

Interestingly, none of the Indian performers, the coach/choreographer, or even the judge sound like they're actually from India. The Indian judge doesn't even pronounce the numbers properly in Hindi.

Great performance, full of energy & entertainment that Indian dances are known for. They might not be giving a "pure performance", and I guess they are not professional dancers, but they did well to make it to the Superstars of dance and to represent Indian culture on this highly popular show. They say the people were the best of the best... I dont see how that was because seems like from every country, the true dancing is not represented well. As far as I am concerned, this group dance was just AS good, if not better, than the American group dance, and I booed the Judges for being so snippy, what bums!

I believe that dance should make YOU want to dance, and this preformance made me want to get up there and dance with them!
