Like the music. Hate that vocal style of the screaming. Blows. The normal voice parts sound good but can't get past the awful screaming parts. Fear Factory's new stuff blows as well. The new drummer is WAY to busy. Disappointing. I've been a Fear Factory fan since the beginning. Sad they're gone. Even though they're playing, it's not the same. RIP to the original Fear Factory.

@boboindabush Gene isn't any faster than Raymond, or better, in fact Gene asked Ray "How the hell do you play some of these songs", they just have different styles is all, nobody pulls off triplet petterns like Raymond Herrera though, I have to say that. Both are amazing drummers, and you could learn a lot from either of them.
I was looking up Fear Factory on Amazon and this came up as a recommendation...holy fuck what a band!! I Love Threat Signal so this is fucking insane!

Jon Howard is absolutely the strength of any band he fronts, and I definitely dig Threat Signal more than Fear Factory and this band, but ALL of them are great. I'd purchase an album from all three of these bands. Glad to see the other half of Fear Factory hook-up with Jon. Regarding Jon sounding like Chester? RIDICULOUS. Jon's scream dominates Chester's in my opinion.

Hmmm.... Sounds ok I guess. I love the song Lucid Dreams from this album but I dont think this band is better then the accumulation of its parts. I prefer Threat signal I think. The guitar work on this song in particular is very boring.

Ryan Martinie from Mudvayne was originally going to play bass for these guys, not full time but just record bass on the album but thought that his bass lines would be too difficult for someone to play live so the singer for Threat Signal recruited their bassist to do the bass work for Arkaea.......just thought I'd put that out there for someone to get a kick out of it lol
Tbh I like the melody of threat signal better, the riffs are really heavy but I don't think it's good listening, it's just being heavy for the sake of being heavy. However, I think jon is one of the best singers out there, I can't think of anyone who has that much variety, but not only that, he is perfect at each individual sound, whether it's harsh vocals or screaming or singing.
Well done anyway, hope you guys come out with some awesome material, the potential is there.

I like Raymond and Christian. They're super nice guys, but if they are going to do a new project like this, they should really work towards a different sound other than that of a Fear Factory clone. That whole style was created by Dino and it's basically Christian trying to write songs like Dino would. I know most of these songs were written for an intended Fear Factory album that never got made. If I were them though, I'd consider starting from scratch with Arkaea. Get a new singer too LoL

Hmmm.... Sounds ok I guess. I love the song Lucid Dreams from this album but I dont think this band is better then the accumulation of its parts. I prefer Threat signal I think. The guitar work on this song in particular is very boring.

Ryan Martinie from Mudvayne was originally going to play bass for these guys, not full time but just record bass on the album but thought that his bass lines would be too difficult for someone to play live so the singer for Threat Signal recruited their bassist to do the bass work for Arkaea.......just thought I'd put that out there for someone to get a kick out of it lol

Tbh I like the melody of threat signal better, the riffs are really heavy but I don't think it's good listening, it's just being heavy for the sake of being heavy. However, I think jon is one of the best singers out there, I can't think of anyone who has that much variety, but not only that, he is perfect at each individual sound, whether it's harsh vocals or screaming or singing.
Well done anyway, hope you guys come out with some awesome material, the potential is there.

I don't care what anyone says, but I was seriously impressed with Arkaea's intensity, FF's "Mechanize" doesn't come close. Esp. with some of the dramatic complaining. And Arkaea didn't "steal" FF's sound. Raymond helped build that trademark "mechanical" sound. So, it's almost more his than anyone. But enough of the drama, just enjoy the music

According to Wikipedia:
"Herrera also stated that he and Wolbers had written eight songs for the next Fear Factory record, but that a "personal disagreement" had come up between them and Bell, which left Bell not wanting to continue work with the band."
I wonder if that personal disagreement includes musical disagreement. While some of these riffs are alright, it's definitely not vintage Fear Factory...

Fail. Being a good singer doesn't make you talented as anyone can be a good singer with a little practice. The reason musical acts with "good singers" are popular is because of image/marketing/etc. It takes much more effort to do death growls than singing, and some people could never hope to do good death growls.

I love this song and this band! It's like the badassery of Fear Factory mixed with the melody of Threat Signal.
And I love Jon's vox. His clean voice does sound like Chester, but how's that a bad thing? Chester's awesome. And you have to admit, this man can howl like a demon. Jon is awesome. Arkaea is awesome.

I like Raymond and Christian. They're super nice guys, but if they are going to do a new project like this, they should really work towards a different sound other than that of a Fear Factory clone. That whole style was created by Dino and it's basically Christian trying to write songs like Dino would. I know most of these songs were written for an intended Fear Factory album that never got made. If I were them though, I'd consider starting from scratch with Arkaea. Get a new singer too LoL

Great song, I still prefer Jon to stay in Threat Signal though. FF was great the way they were. They shouldn't stay combined anymore. Nonetheless, it was interesting to listen to!
