  • Replacing the Tunisian Reverse with the Tunisian Purl is something that can be done in projects easily. They both have a relatively similar amount of space. However, it will produce different looks, depending on which stitch you decide to use.

  • Your hook is in the back of your work and you move in a side-to-side motion under the back vertical bar to pull the loop through.

  • If you are familiar with the Tunisian Purl Stitch, you will know that you have your hook in the front of your work and you do a side-to-side-motion under the front vertical bar to pull a loop through. This Reverse is actually a Reverse Simple Stitch. The bars of a stitch are in the front, go up through the closing chain and back down the other side. For this Reverse, you will be using that back vertical bar in the same manner as you use the front vertical bar for a Simple Stitch.

  • I can't see a clear view of which bar you are inserting the hook through or maybe it's just MY crocheting that has me confused.

  • Thank you for this video, Kim. This is my favorite way to make a Tunisian purl-type stitch.

  • Thank you so much for doing this video. I have a slipper pattern that calls for alternating K & P sts, but what the Author wanted was alternating K and Rev st pattern. I did not looks that close at the little diagram until a Group Member pointed out the error of my ways. Can you substitute the Rev st anywhere it calls for Tunisian Purl st? Still a little confused on the Purl st name issue, but thanks again for this little video!!
