its unfair for me to say they are a crappy organization, ive been part of many protests including one in berxeley, i was going to join the sfpd until i realized that it was an organization in disarray and that it was going after the wrong people for the wrong causes, this war was stupid from the start and all government needs to recognize that including all powers that be that supported it or did not get in the way of stopping it

these protesters didn't ask for permission. they blocked the buses and regular flow of traffic to have a peace party....which is cool, but not for the buses and occupants. There could be handicapped people on the bus that need to get home.

that's a no no. They probably were not granted permission, but just went about it anyways. The police did give warning to clear the streets. Some of those officers were brutal..i know.....and they will be brought to justice.

truth is, officers in these sorts of instances are rarely "brought to justice". It is incredibly difficult to identify an officer under all that gear, especially when name badges are routinely removed and officers are less than willing to divulge indentifying information.

I was at the events in Washington DC. When I stepped into the street to help a nonviolent protester who had been shoved to the ground by cops, a policeman picked me up and literally threw me against a parked car. I love democracy!
