@DanteCallahan it's impossible to understand the story without playing the first 3, this game was all about fan service and tying up the loose ends in the plot. Which it does a very good job of.

Why would you even go straight into the metal gear solid series with the 4th version lol? I'm sure you must've heard about the type of game MGS was. I honestly HIGHLY recommend that you play the first 3 games - you will NOT regret it - MGS is arguably the best game series ever made. This game is to tie up all the loose ends from previous games

@TheTaintedStudios Well, if you didn't play the previous games, then you probably wouldn't understand the plot, especially considering that it's pretty complex to begin with. If you could somehow get all 4 games and play them in order, it's a great series. You shouldn't have a problem getting 2-4, but 1 might be a bit of a problem.

@PULGARKC I see English is not your native language, but the reason it's not in Xbox is because it is a PS3 exclusive. And if it was on Xbox it would have used around 4 to 5(even more) disks. But supposedly it wont be an exclusive anymore.

im a little sad the game was 70% fan service. drebin, and the squat were basically the new characters and the squat members were barely characters. I didnt like the corny chat between johnny and meryl. oh and SUNNY omg. I dont wanna start with sunny.

@jcudal32 fan service is not a bad thing, what Hideo Kojima did with this game was tie up every loose end and character in the plot. There was a lot of plot to go through and I am impressed with how solidly and emotionally it was all put together in this game. I consider this more of a movie than a game, which is why I did not do commentary and tried to get through everything as fast as possible. Where this game shines is the cutscenes.

@TehNevs actually, the cutscenes are why i dont want it, 9 and a half hours? fuck no, it is a game, not a movie, cutscened being the best part sounds like the game would suck without them, which is equivalent to MW, game needs gameplay, AND story, not either or, MW2 and SR3 have like no story, but good gameplay, this game focuses too much on story, i like a good story but this is just ridiculous

@ReaperP13 based on what ive seen in the past mgs games, the story in the cutscenes basically shows, what you are fighting for and why you are fighting for your country. i didnt like the cutscenes also tbh, but i watched them to understand the game, it gives (obviously) good detail about the war, and how the past is catching up

it works only by their optical sensors, otherwise with scanning lasers they see you.

octocamo can work but it's rare, usually it won't, and don't even try using the stealth suit because that won't work on on the robots
