Regardless of who stole what, each Jabbawockeez member has his own unique style. Their routines are the product of a combined effort from distinctively, talented and creative individuals. This is something SOPboys don't have.
even before ABDC, i already saw this guys dancing to Jabba's routine, another group related to them even copied the masks, before i actually thought they made the routine, but when i found out about the Jabbas, it's really sad how other people who don't know about the Jabbas (ppl outside US), think that these guys made the routine...

Also, if you checked the date, this video was way before the Jabbawockeez came on America's Got Talent or America's Best Dance Crew. Some of the first people to comment on here were the Jabba's themselves in a "Biters Will Be Eaten" drive.

I'm from the Philippines and even I know that the JWZ have been active in the US dance circuits since the early 2000s, with roots in 3 Musky. A simple web search or reference to Jabbawockeez searches can confirm this. Quiet easy to access JWZ vids, actually, guess the internet was where these byterz plagiarized the moves. FYI.Really very EMBARASSING for a lot of us Pinoys here abroad, thank God our recent win in the 2008 World Hiphop Championship sort of levels this off. Go Pinoys!

I am Filipino as well and this definitely doesn't make me proud to be one, sometimes. It's embarrassing that we are known to be one of the best counterfeiters around. Like people I know often joke around saying that if we want something for cheap we can just go to the Philippines and get a fake version of the item for a lower price.
Oh by the way, I didn't mean bringing up being Filipino and all because that's really out of the question.. I was just trying to voice out. its not a big deal anymore.... a lot of dance crews imitate jabba from their songs and costume... examples are "TYPE-1" from CEBU, and "SIGMENTZ" CREW... u could search them if u want to.... i hate this fuckin posers!!!

Regardless of who stole what, each Jabbawockeez member has his own unique style. Their routines are the product of a combined effort from distinctively, talented and creative individuals. This is something SOPboys don't have.

i dont think there's anything wrong with people dancing like the Jabbawockeez but the SopBoys were paid to do a routine performance and did not credit the Jabba's for it. That's why it's infringement.
Also, if you checked the date, this video was way before the Jabbawockeez came on America's Got Talent or America's Best Dance Crew. Some of the first people to comment on here were the Jabba's themselves in a "Biters Will Be Eaten" drive.

The Copyright Law protects dance as well so when the SOPBoys got paid to do the Jabbawockeez routine w/o giving credit to them, it becomes a violation of the law. Hence, it is copyright infringement.
I agree though, this is not a big deal now as much as it was a year ago. I'm glad the Jabbawockeez made it big that they can shrug it off...
And no the SOPBoys are not the only ones doing this routine, but they can set the example for shame.

A simple web search or reference to Jabbawockeez searches can confirm this. Quiet easy to access JWZ vids, actually, guess the internet was where these byterz plagiarized the moves. FYI.Really very EMBARASSING for a lot of us Pinoys here abroad, thank God our recent win in the 2008 World Hiphop Championship sort of levels this off. Go Pinoys!

I am Filipino as well and this definitely doesn't make me proud to be one, sometimes. It's embarrassing that we are known to be one of the best counterfeiters around.
