Vette vs. GT3?

With a normal young track-day going driver behind a wheel, the corvette would probably be quicker indeed (near 50/50 weight distribution, high low-end torque engine, predictable handling, and so on.) But for an experienced driver (and by that I mean really experienced, with years and years of 911 experience)who knows how to drive a porsche properly (in reality few people do) the GT3 will be a much rewarding and quicker drive.

um. no.... 997 GT3 is faster than the Z06 around most tracks. besides its not just raw speed it also has class, and heritage. Z06 is OK for cheap performance, but you miss out on soooo much else with that car.
