  • Hummmm It has a nice ring to it...

    'Tanaka's Tarot root farms'

Yep, I think as soon as you find your parents, you should get right on that!

  • YEs, I will start by growing a small taro plant on my window sill, hallbe.

  • Hmm, doing backbreaking farm work for no pay...you may have read that we fought a war over that in our country Ken.

And it's Taro, not Tarot, unless you're also telling fortunes with the poi.

  • Oh, thanks for your spelling correction:)

  • Satoimo in Japanese. I learned Elephant Ear in English name.

The taro is the same kind as Satoimo. It seems to be strange that Hawaiian people process a taro to paste, because Japanese people just season it with sugar and soy sauce and eat. I like "Satoimo no nikkorogashi". Hawaiian farmer is a little different style from Japanese farmer. However, it seems to be have the same farmer mind.

  • Yes, I think it is satoimo. I ate some of the poi and it did not really taste like satoimo though. But it had the same nuru nuru texture.

  • Your english sounds better than hers. No offence to her.

  • Kandalaria comes from the Phillipines, Talimsoul. I think she is a tagalog speaker. There are many Phillipine people in Hawaii.

  • 面白かった! Thanks for the video. It looks like you are enjoying many of the local activities and things to do in Hawaii. THe next time I am in Hawaii I will have to check it out.

  • Thanks, kkajapan. Yes, I hope you get to visit some time.

  • Well hopefully this December, I will go to Hawaii for the Honolulu Marathon again, so if I am in the area I will definitely check it out.

  • Yes, you should check it out.

  • おもしろい! What a nice lady, and great name! Kandalaria?

  • Yes, chimera15. She was very kind:)
