all music is influenced by music b4 or during it. Even Beethoven. Mozart. ect. The break beats behind baltimore sing sing by gaz, think ect. Kravens break 4 drum and bass and a huge amount of electronic music. amen break. I think we should all appreciate this progressiopn. I just came across a new genre by Dave Nada called Moombahton- which is a mixture of afrojack type pitch envelopes slowed down to a reggaeton tempo around 100bpms. Even encorporating some great bounce music. awesome
all im saying is usually when a sub genre is made up, its started by someone or from something from that city. feel me? like jazz music with a master p beat sped up would make sense. peace
@cliffycashmore hip hop is a genere and is exposed to many. this beat was one of the easiest beats to mix to and it would sound hot. and master p was probably just getting to highschool when this came out. i know your from the bay but stop it. i
@cliffycashmore Its not strange and unheard of because Tiggerman is a song that was done by a group called the Showboys from Queens New York. Bounce music was started by DJ's in New Orleans who mixed Triggerman and Brown Beat and Peter Piper by Run DMC (New York).....Cameron Paul did not start anything in New Orleans....look up DJ Erv and T.T. Tucker....Look up Full Pack...bounce music has a history....
@cliffycashmore If a band from Düsseldorf can inspire people in New York, Miami and Los Angeles I don't see why a remix guy from S.F. can't spawn a craze in N.O.
@cliffycashmore dude in that time period this was one of the favorites for the dj's when dj's was the heart and soul of hiphop. they could mix anything to this beat and it caught on. and this is not the only influence used in bounce so stop it. you act like no one is influenced by hip hop made outside of their city. look at cali swag district. they made millions off of a dance from dallas tx.
Mannie Fresh also used this break beat a lot back in the early Cash Money days
