@ussjealousy They time it just like a bombing run, they tape the singer singing it the way they are going to and then have the singer start at a certain time exactly. The flyover jets fly a holding pattern until a certain time, so they fly over during the second half of the anthem. I consider a perfectly timed flyover to be between "Rocket's red glare" and "the bombs bursting in air" myself, but I'm not a pilot, just know too much :P

No, a sonic boom is a VERY, VERY loud crack sound. And it echos for seconds after, where as a flyby echos for only 1-2 seconds later.

@penny2g3 let me say this is better description, sonic boom, the last word boom, is what you actually hear. it sound like a bomb that exploded. the sound and air are so compact and dense that all of it will be heard at once.

this video quality that capture sound is very poor. you act ually do hear the boom, it sound like someone hit the drum. in real life you be surprise how loud it is when you see the jet first then comes the sound. its amazing.

Besides, I don't believe that ANY aircraft would fly in close formation at supersonic speeds. The airflow becomes far too complex. Sound right to you guys?

They just bring their missions into the view of the public instead of off in the middle of nowhere. The flight would have happened anyway. its about hrs of flight for pilot training.

This is a fake. The planes appear from the edge of the scoreboard. The approach should have been visible from under the board. The planes are also stretched upon leaving and disappear at edge of scoreboard not visible under on exit pattern.. Planes too low for legal flight and wrong formation.
