This is a pointless comparison, it's so contradicting it makes me sick. They chose to compare an AMG S class to a standard BMW 7 series with a v12 and state that the S63 is "confused". I'm not sure if they forgot but Mercedes has an s600 and has had it for over 15 years. An s600 compared to an s63 is very different the s600 has a soft tuned suspension, it revs lower, and is actually faster than an s63 or 760.

The 0 in the '09' on the BM indicates March of 2009 - the 5 in the '59' on the Merc indicates September of 2009. In March 2012 new car plates will be '12' for March and then '62' for September, and so on and so forth..

To everyone saying how they should've used a S65 AMG, heres the facts. They picked the S63 for specific reasons, first, it has 536 hp, the 760 has 535 hp. The S63 cost $139,000, the 760 cost $137,000. So power and price, these cars are very similar, I normally would say keep AMG to M cars, but the 760 is closer to the S63 than the S600, which has 510 hp and cost $159,000. The S65 has 621 hp and cost a staggering $210,000. For the closest and fairest matchup, the 760li and S63 are the way to go.

But like I mentioned, the S65 isn't really comparable to the 760, the 760 is just a normal BMW, not a M-spec car. If BMW were(and they really should) make a BMW M7 then that would probably compare to the S65. Its kind of like comparing the top of the normal cars(760/S600). There really isn't a competitor for the S65, unfortunately...now that would be a battle!

This is by far NOT the best review ever, why compare a luxury sedan to a sport/luxury sedan? The perfect comparison would have been the s600 and 760 both v12's both not tuned exactly for sporty driving and both about the same price.
