is that all suspension or is there a Body Lift in there also? It looks great I am planning on lifting mine, but I am stuck between a 3.25" and 4" lift. 33s for sure are going on mine.
Only the suspension lift. It seems to be enough so far. Somewhere down the line I want to lift it to a 6" lift but I'm not in a hurry. The crossing in the video surprised me once I saw it on video because it didn't seem like the water rose so high up. Getting over the top at the end was fun too because of low traction and the spinning tires.
Yeah it looks like a blast man, I haven't been to Azusa in a while, first went in an K5 Blazer and it was a blast. I am on a budget so I am gonna go with a Rough Country lift. I am weary of 4inches though because I am not sure if I will have to get a slip yoke eliminator, and cv joints or not. Thats a little more than I would like to spend. How is your jeep as a daily driver? That what I will do with mine mostly, but I love to off road. Also what gearing are you using? Thanks
I had to add the slip yoke eliminator in mine. The gears are stock 4.11 as rubicons come. That's also why I'm not in a hurry to go higher, if I lift it higher that means bigger tires, lower gears and I would consider upgrading axles from D44 to D60's.
But all that is no where in sight of my budget now so I will keep the Jeep as it is now. As a daily driver it's fine. My sway bar disconnects were making noise so I disconnected them and have been driving like that for almost a year. Doesn't ride too much different, only on sudden sharp turns. Even then it self corrects real fast and doesn't lean too much.
SYEs are pretty pricey too, I am gonna have to regear too probably when I lift mine. I don't want to go to 35s due to the fact that I am still riding on my D30 and D35, Plus I like the look of 33s. Think I will need the SYE on a 4 inch lift? The kit comes with a TC drop
I spoke to a guy once who said he went from 38's or 40's down to 33's because with the big tires it was too too easy to get through obsticles. That also convinced me to stick with the 33's.
Not that forum, I'm part of the "Rubicon owners forum" but I don't log on too often anymore. I signed up for "Just Runs" but haven't gone on any trips.
ah i see, where abouts are you located? Ever been to the Jawbone/dove springs area? I live in Palmdale and I always see a group of jeeps over there messing around
Gnarly, how big of a lift and what size tires?

The lift is a Rubicon Express 4.5" lift. The tires are Wrangler 33x12.5.

Yeah, he said with things so easy it took all the fun out of it. He wanted to experience the challenges again.
