the real reason is because Bert put the song Under Pressure on his CD In Love And Death. Gerard got mad because they made that song for charity, and by Bert putting it on his CD, he was making money off something for charity. Gerard got mad and said Bert was conceited or something like that, and Bert said Gerard had a big head.

If you watch the MCR live dvd theres a scene where Gerard wakes up so trashed that he pukes right next to the tour bus. After having a million people see that as well as gerard himself he decided to change for the best and seek therapy.
