It's incorrect to think the women are too pretty or sex symbols, because the impact of this ad is from how innocent & beautiful they all look but in reality the act of backbiting shows how ugly and they truly are despite their outward appearance. As a young Muslim woman I was very struck by the powerful paradox this video presents. I was captivated by their beauty and it was scary when they ate the flesh and I realized that they were monsters despite their outward appearances. It was Brilliant.

and you left some part of aya number 33 which says "or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;"
Both ayas clearly indicate that if you kill an innocent person its as if you killed the entire humanity- and for which you will be punished accordingly. But in order to defend against mischief in your land, you can defend your religion by punishing the transgressors by either killing them or exiling them.

On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. The Qur'an makes an analogy that when you talk badly behind your brother/sister back, it is like eating their flesh because they are helpless like a dead person and you are betraying them. It is indeed a vile deed.

@jmack619 hi , just wanted to tell you , muslims only have 1 religiouse leader and its the prophet mohammad , we dont have popes or stuff like that in islam , their are what we call scientests of islam , those are the ones who have more knowlege because they study islam more than we do and they go into details , we learn from them but still they dont rule the religion , we only follow gods words provided by quran , and we learn frome the statments that the prophet stated 1400 years ago.

thats because as a woman i will attest to the fact that we indeed backbite more than our male counterparts. Honestly with guys if they have a problem with each other they usually confront each other...with girls its like first u gotta play all these monda games and talk smack and then fight and then resolve. thats because as a woman i will attest to the fact that we indeed backbite more than our male counterparts. Honestly with guys if they have a problem with each other they usually confront each other...with girls its like first u gotta play all these monda games and talk smack and then fight and then resolve. Look around a lot of the time its women who gossip and its not good because its a sin in islam...and there is a hadeeth that states bacbitting is like eating the flesh of ur fellow man

yes,backbite isn't good.Sometimes it's hard to recognise wether you are or are not backbiting.U might say some lies(gossip) that is backbiting but if someone hits u and u say:that person is stupid,someone could say your backbiting.

...as much as I agree about everyone needing to stop backbiting, it is not a sin restricted to women. Just as a reminder, those who spread rumours about Bibi Ayesha, rumours that created doubt in the Prophet (SAW) heart for his beloved wife, were men, not women.

for anyone who says its sexist. ya u know wat maybe it is, but i, being a muslim teenager, see this ALL the time with the "aunties" and honestly have never heard the "uncles" saying things like this. im not saying only the female sex backbites but it sure does happen a lot more frequently and openly with women. i hope this helps to STOP it.

Allah considers backbiting as eating your human brother's flesh, and actually as a punishment a backbiter will be forced to eat the person that they gossiped about, in hell...so this ad is making us realise the mistake we commited if we backbite
