IMO, The AK has more stopping power, penetration, and fear factor, however due to it's larger round than that of the M-16 which is a 5.56 as apposed to a 7.62, the AK has more recoil which in turn makes it less accurate than the M-16 at range, plus the heavy body of the AK as apposed to the much lighter body of the M-16 makes a difference too. However, The AK can be run over by a fucking tank and it'll still shoot, if so much as an ATV runs over an M-16 it'll quite possibly severely - cont. >>

I think you full of shit since the AKs rear sight is so close to the fore site compared to most western rifles it is very unforgiving of lateral movement unlike an M-16/M-4 rear appature site which allows much more lateral movement so if you where bad with a weapon with a rear site set farther to the rear of the weapon you would be worse with an AK site.

I shot with ak47 too, u can`t compare 5.56 and 7.62. M16 is accurate, but ak47 has greater impact and devastating power (it`s true that`s not so accurate, but when u fix your aiming, and when u feel that it`s shooting in mirrored number 7... u`ll find a way to be a good shooter with it).

no, it's not accurate. it's been proven over time. the original AK-47s were clunky and reliable but really inaccurate. however the AK-74s are the 5.56mm ammo variant of the Kalashnikov and are just as accurate as any NATO weapon. people often get the two confused as the look similar.
