Man! It is so good to see my Big Brothers back in action, playing as good as ever
I got their first album in June 67, had the classic Gurley poster hanging on my wall all that summer, finally got to see them live at the Avalon in October 1967... and then again in Fresno in 68. I saw Dave Getz at an after party in the suburbs of Fresno (of all places). But he was as nice as could be to us Inland Valley Hippies
I doubt if the Brothers know the impact they had on us. It wasn't all about Janis
