Have you tried opening the door in midflight on a 787 to stuttgart on a Wednesday afternoon and dropping it - Now i must stress this has to be done on a Wednesday afternoony......Let me know how it pans out.
Dont know where you are but in the UK if you take the phone back to the shop they will exchange it without any problems. The Skype S2 is a much better phone and there are phones on Three that offer FREE Skype for as little as little as £19.99 from places like Argos.
Get a FREE Three sim card by clicking my profile name and clicking the link on my page.
The first S3 I had also cut out so they exchanged it same thing. I then started a NEW skype account and had no problems after that and it was still working fine when I upgraded after about 18 months...
the same thing happend to my freinds phone, i think what caused it to crash out like that was, taking the battery out when the phone was switched on. i think as the battery was coming out of the phone it shorted somthing out. when i take the battery out of my phone,,,i always check that its off first.
I love/hate this phone, the bottom panel of my phone keeps flapping up when i text. is like not fixed in place>tried taking back to 3 they said that if i wanted it fixed it be sent away and i might be charged!! wtf!

3 wont give u a new fone if u return it thell give u a refurbished one so make sure u spesificly tell them u wont A NEW fone or ur stuk with a refurbished fone
i work for 3, if you want to use skype buy a handset that ives u the skype feature, the skype phone is not a great mobile. it is very basic and not a nice fashion accessory. there are other phones available on the same price plans which offer skype.
OKAY PPL. I took my 3 Skype Phone to my 3 dealer and they have sent my handset off for repairs. The reason I made a video is so that other 3 Skype Phone owners can see what 3 Mobile will do if you guys had a prob with your handset.
@xReventonx THey will indeed. As long as the warrenty is still valid. As soon as the warranty has ended they don't want to do nithing with you! Even if the worker in the 3 shop tries to arrange it to be sent back, he will fail after entering the details from the back of your phone, the system will not put it through.
That is what happened to me, I asked if it could be done for some fee, but he said no.

its not a bad phone. its good for what it does(in your case when it works)
there is a 12 month warranty on all electrical goods (im pretty sure) but your phone should is covered by 3's free reapair system.
Just take the phone back to the shop and get them to send it away for repair for free as its clearly a software fault.
Just want to note that in 6 months in my ship we have never had a skype phone in for repair as far as I am aware.

recharge the phone while its recharging itll give you a option to turn on ur phone and itll turn on properly :D
