  • so you see, world wrestling federation was kinda taking the piss using the wff which is know as the world wildlife fund, people were getting confused and it was causing other problems, so since world wildlife fund was around first, and had "wwf" first its their right to say "look we had our business registered before world wrestling federation, so we are should be the only ones who can use wwf since we was using it before world wrestling federation was" and they are right.

  • its like if i sold comics using spiderboy as the main character, marvel, who own the rights to spiderman, x men, hulk and all the other characters they've created would come down on me like a ton of bricks because im kinda stealing their idea and making money from it, thats not allowed. They are protected by copyright law, which basically means, if they created it, and make money from it, and pay taxes for their business, then they are the rightful owner and only they can profit from it

  • you can have sites with the word "tube" in it, there are quite a few, but they cant sound or look like youtube or any of its logos. Google pay for the rights to use youtube, and they pay to have it protected so that only they can use it, its their property, its like if i tried to create a comic book character and called him spiderboy and he had the same colors and outfit as spiderman no way would it be allowed, even though spiderboy is already taken, just using that as an example.

  • Stupid fucking world wild fund. Y'all should have changed. Why not world wildlife fund enterprise.

  • Your Telling Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon to get the "F" OUT.

    YOUUUUUUUUUUUR FIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRED!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Get the F out

Genius bit of copyrighting right there XD

  • and they do good work for animals, and i like animals i like wwf too though but yh changing to wwe didnt make things worse, it was the wrestlers leaving and dying and retiring

  • well not initials, the company name, because the world wildlife fund is known more for wwf so thats why it pissed them off, because people were getting confused and its copyright, and if someones here first you cant just come and take their shit and make money using the same name, you cant do that. Its like me making a animal website called utube instead of youtube do you think they would allow that shit? not a chance, so respect to the world wildlife fund for protecting their company

  • @Brady2k10 so are you saying that I can't open a similar website like YouTube with the name utube?

  • @saznrai mate if you done that i swear to god it would be closed down within minutes, have you not heard of copyright?? "youtube" or "utube" are the same, just different lettering, and youtube/google already have a site called youtube so they would shut yours down in the blink of an eye if it sounded the same, its googles property, the name, the logo and anything that looks or sounds similar, google will fuck it up andi cant think of a worst enemy on the net to have than google

  • It's a shame to see the amount of people displaying their low IQ over their belief that the WWE has went downhill due to a changed initial.

Stupid people shouldn't be allowed on the internet.

  • @xanderdude123 it didnt go down hill because of that, went downhill because most of the good ones left to join TNA, retired or died.

  • wasnt world wrestling federation around longer then the wildlife fund

  • @cidudefive in 1952 Vinces Jnr.s Grandfather Jess McMahan co-owned with Joseph Mondt Captial Wrestling Corperation and were part of the NWA.-National Wrestling Alliance.Jess died and Vince Senior took over. Then they had a falling out with NWA and created the WWWF,which Vince Junior then bought out from his father and then renamed it the WWF and the rest is history.

  • The WORLD WILDLIFE FUNDATION should had laost FML I mean dosnt FUDATION stand for landmarks or something. I dont give a shit if they were first they should had been called WWE because that name would had made more sense you know WORLD WILDLIFE ENVIRONMENT put no the stupid pandas, I got nothing against them its just the company using that as it;s logo

  • ok i know what we have to do to get good wrestling again....

    KILL ALL THE ANIMALS

  • W = We

    W = Want

    E = Edge

  • W =We

    W =Were

    E = Epic

  • Am I the only one who flat-out refuses to ever donate to world wildlife fund because of this lawsuit. >.<

  • Oh~ Man .i miss those days.

The Rock: Why WWE changed the name , WORLD WILDLIFE FUN?

    WWF:Because...

The Rock: It doesn't matter why they changed the name . Just bring back the damn PG era .

    Stone Cold : What?

The Rock: I said bring the damn PG back.

Stone Cold: Give me a hell yeah*middle finger*.

DX: Suck It Pandas.*SCMs and Pedigrees to Pandas*

  • @thien797 Why would they bring back the pg era? this is the pg era, you mean the "Attitude Era"

  • @dannielpreto right. My bad.

  • Damn Pandas!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i know how to solve this problem Wrestling Federation of the World

  • YES , GO TO WWE(DOT)COM THEY WON AGAINST WORLD WILD FUND!!!! WWF IS COMMING WITH WWE NETWORK!!! THEY CAN NOW USE WWF IN WORDS , AND CAN LET IT BE SHOWN IN WWF VIDEOS FROM 1998-2002 , WITHOUT cuting ''F'' letter BIG NEWS RIGHT THERE!!!

  • @gertjaarsify Yay Bring Back "The Beautiful People" get it its SMACKDOWN!S 2002 THEME

  • Why does everyone believe that the WWE went downhill because they changed an initial? It's because they don't have the same level of talent anymore. Back then, they had Austin, Rock, Angle, Jericho, Taker, Kane and Foley as the HUGE top guys. Now they only have Cena and Orton. Compare.

  • @OatyTheBlackMage

    I agree!

  • @Major2219

...Refer to my response to OatyTheDickHead to see why you're a fucking twat for automatically agreeing with him.

  • @OatyTheBlackMage Well and CM Punk. You gotta remember to that wrestleing was sorta easy to get into back then. Taker comes back like once a year, Kane returned. Big Show is holding in there still. Cena is losing it. Austin only comes back to stunner people at wrestlemania. and the rock welcomes us with his presence what seems like every 7 years.lol

  • @xxdrummer92xx Well actually, the rock only comes back when he has a movie to promote. No offence, I love him, he's really good. But what I said is true.

  • @pachathebest oh I complete l agree with you man. there is no argument there.

  • @OatyTheBlackMage Agreed.

  • @OatyTheBlackMage Talent has nothing to do with it. Austin? Terrible wrestler with a gimmick that anyone could have pulled off. Rock? His promos were written. Foley? An overweight spot-monkey. Taker, Kane and Jericho? I'll grant you them. Now you have Sheamus, Orton, Barrett, Ziggler, Cody, all superior wrestlers to the guys you mentioned, with the exception of Jericho. The difference is they're not as good on the mic, and modern WWE booking is shit.

  • @warlock776 Austin was a terrible wrestler? Ok you are entitled to your opinion, but I strongly disagree.Have you not seen any of his matches with Bret Hart, Brian Pillman, Benoit, and hell even HHH? his gimmick? sure could anybody have pulled it off but could they have pulled it off to perfection like he did? I think not! Foley, not my fave but was one hell of a wrestler and could endure more than any wrestler in the business can today. Rock? What wrestler doesn't have promos written?

  • @MuscleHead93 Think about who you named. Bret Hart. Brian Pillman. Chris Benoit. Three of the greatest wrestlers in history, fact. Austin did enough to get by, but ultimately, those guys carried those matches. He wasn't a good technical wrestler but that's OK, because he had charisma. Foley, same deal. Couldn't wrestle, but he had charisma, would do spots, and he had something very likeable about him. As for the Rock, back then promos weren't written by WWE, the workers made it up.

  • @warlock776 Ok if you are speaking on a technical wrestler basis then yes those three were better but Austin has a different style which he is a brawler like The Undertaker & HHH. I honestly don't think they carried matches all the time. Austin was able to hold up his own weight in matches. And the promos, it doesn't matter who wrote them. The fact of the matter is they were written. If you watch one of Bret Hart's documentaries you can see he was rehearsing a segment.

  • @OatyTheBlackMage rock wm taker wm jericho returned kane masked kane returned brock lesnar maybe batista if pg crap goes away goldberg RR 2012 (son wants to see him wreslter)

  • @OatyTheBlackMage UPDATE. Cena, Orton, DZ, R-truth, Kane (possibly taker), CMPunk, Jericho, HHH etc

  • @OatyTheBlackMage

You're right, but also hugely wrong when considering your original point.

-When the 'WWE' name came about, Austin, Jericho, Angle, Undertaker and Kane were all still employed by the company.

I see your point but all the the wrestlers that you named (with the exception of Foley who had retired years prior) were around for a good length of time in the 'WWE' era.

Advice; try researching your point before you try to shamelessly get a thumbs up in order to feed your ego. Tool.

  • @iTubeYourDadsMinge Whoa, wait a second here. We seem to be talking about two completely different time periods. I know Angle, Austin, Jericho etc were with the company when they changed to WWE in 2002. But I'm not talking about 2002. I'm talking about the present day. In fact, I made clear point about using the word "now". And I'm right. NOW, we don't have Rocky, or Kurt, or SCSA. We have Taker and Kane but they're a shell of what they were.

  • @iTubeYourDadsMinge All we have left, really, is Jericho. The WWE doesn't have the same big money draws it had when during the Attitude Era. The people you called me out on, really, are gone NOW. Yeah, they were around the Ruthless Aggression period and beyond, but those guys are gone now(bar Jericho) and we have been left with crushing mediocrity. My point still stands.

Also, nice try on trying to focus on a completely different point to prove me wrong. Loved that.

  • @OatyTheBlackMage The letter change happened at the same time the product went from great to poop (2001), so it's legitimately associated ith the sharp decline. The entire universe the company had spent decades building collapsed that year, perhaps highlighted best by a transition from fans who cheered/booed as a part of the storyline unfolded being replaced by a bunch of drunk idiots yelling "WHAT?!" as a response to EVERYTHING.

  • @OatyTheBlackMage when u compare WWE/WWF u just compare the Attitude Era to now of course use common sense, Angle was much more active and had his best matches in "WWE"taker, kane, jericho were still in "WWE" so was austin and Rock for a while. "Now they only have cena and orton" compare?umm are u forgetting 02-06? lol when HBK returned, and had stars like Lesnar, eddie, benoit, edge, batista, etc

    Compare 92-96 to 02-06

  • (W)orld (W)ildlife (F)und For (N)ature. It should be WWFN!!!!

  • They just may get the F back. New slogan....... "Get the F back."

  • everyday in science i have to look at this world wildlife fund sticker on the wall in class. i wanna burn that shit

  • Everytime i see someone wearing that world wildlife fund logo, i wanted togo mental and stab them in the eye lol JK.. I always love the oldschool WWF logo:)

  • Why didn't the World Wild Life Fund just change there name to WWLF?

    Fuck You WW(L)F!!!

  • @Kidanimation09 its (W)orld (W)ildlife (F)und (WWF)

  • @chivasboy451 What I'm trying to say is that the should separate the Wildlife part, but I knew I would probably get a reply like this.

  • @Kidanimation09 oh sorry! but, you have point there

  • @chivasboy451 No worries man, I know there's probably a 90% chance that WWE won't go back to the WWF if they were allowed to, but hopefully one day they either change the name back or just stop blurring out everything.

  • @Kidanimation09 Agreed

  • @Kidanimation09 just the whole blurring out thing be best because that shit is hard to look at.

  • @lonewolftx Yeah and that makes the dvd's not worth buying - its just better to find videos of the matches you want to watch or sub to people who upload WWF shows.

  • I actually learned about wwf (wwe) at a school trip to a nature center years ago when the guide asked the kids if they liked the WWF. I thought he was talking about Wildlife not Wrestling. It's probably better this way since it is easy to understand the context.

  • I didn't know Vince and the WWE were campaigning against the ruling and were trying to reclaim the WWF initials...pity they didn't succeed

  • The big question is : Why WWE has turned PG ?

  • @HoussineRafia Because Linda McMahon is running for some campaign or something.

  • thats fine and dandy but why did it turn pg?

  • Hell,Vince could've put a damn panda on a belt and the wwe would still be wwf

  • I remember this, but I do not know why it took all these years before world wild life bitched. Here in washington state a person has to have permission to use the name Olympic becuase some one owns the rights to the name. People can not even sing the song happy birthday to me for public use becomes some one owns the rights to the song and wants to be paid royalities.

  • Pandas must not like Vince..

  • its world wide wrestling fucking fake wwwff

  • FUCK YOU WORLD WILDLIFE FUND!!!!

  • IM GONNA KILL THAT PANDA WHEN IM OLDER.

    THEN HELLO WWF!!!!

  • @attitudeman23 dont be childish, the world wildlife fund was here first, you have to respect that, if you was head of the world wildlife fund and some guy comes along and starts using your initials and making money from it and it causes confusion for your company, you wouldnt like that would you be honest? you wouldnt no one would. Its copyright basically and the world wildlife fund as much as i like wwf/wwe they cant do that and the wildlife group must have had enough

  • Doesnt matter what name it is, we just need some god damn ATTITUDE.

  • @StooperStunner no we dont......bummer right

  • @StooperStunner TRUE. BUT WWE STANDS FOR WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT. SO THIS CAN MEAN TWO THINGS.

  • @StooperStunner why? it never used to have it until the 90's. It was great before Attitude Era, and from a BUSINESS standpoint, it started going downhill.

  • @StooperStunner Muthafucking Agree MAn

  • I don't really care if its WWF, WWE, WCW.

I just what Vince to stop this horrible stock-plummeting , in words and honor of CM Punk, PG Era to cease and bring back the excitement and realness the WWE ONCE captured. The attitude, the incredible hardcore competition, the sooo believable storylines, the crazy promos, etc.

Damn Vince, losing CM Punk or "Phil", was the single biggest mistake you've made recently anyways.

Really doubt the WWE is gonna last
