Austin did enough to get by, but ultimately, those guys carried those matches. He wasn't a good technical wrestler but that's OK, because he had charisma. Foley, same deal. Couldn't wrestle, but he had charisma, would do spots, and he had something very likeable about him. As for the Rock, back then promos weren't written by WWE, the workers made it up.
