@rachellevine Very sad news. After this race, I always followed Sir Ray. This is still one of my favorite races ever.

that horse should have been 1/9 in the betting. I wonder what the total number of lengths lost for going wide was.

Yeah, I just had to favorite this one when I saw it. What a wild run; Sir Ray had tons of heart to win it.

I think only "Thunderbolt" from the Three Stooges' "Playing the Ponies" short had a wilder journey. BTW, nice call by Bobby Neuman.

This made me laugh, but my goodness did he cover a lot of ground! Makes you wonder what Sir Ray was thinking running way over on the OUTSIDE rail!! :-)
