Ji Rong Huang erhu (Chinese violin)

He graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in China & won an award for traditional music instrumental performance in a national competition in China. Since arriving in Vancouver in 1988, Ji Rong has given hundreds of performances. He is highly skilled in playing different Chinese bowstrings instruments. Ji Rong is the artistic director of Vancouver Chinese Music Ensemble and is a guest lecturer at the UBC School of Music.

以優異成績畢業於中國上海音樂學院,1983年在中國民族樂器比­賽中獲獎。他曾受國家選派，赴法國、東南亞及日本演奏中國傳統音­樂。1988年移居加拿大後，參加了上千場各類演出。黃繼榮演奏­基礎紮實、技藝高超，精通多種胡琴，他的表演以豐富的藝術感染力­贏得了無數北美聽眾讚賞。他現任溫哥華中華樂團藝術總監。

this is REAL...the music in the background is fake but he is playing for real...i know the sound of that instrument and i can tell when people are faking.. cause he is looking down everytime he moves his hand.. people who fake don't do that. i love this song in the butterfly lovers drama 2007... very sad drama... made me CRY a bucketfull of tears... VERY EMOTIONAL.. too bad their love didn't survive through.. but at least they will be together in heaven :'(
