Went to Comic Con in San Diego, popped into one of the Subway's in town. When I was asked what I would like, I pointed at the picture on the board and said, "That. I would like that, please." The assistant started to ask what bread I would... "No, no , no. No. I would like *that*, please. That sandwich in that picture. Please."

This utterly blew his mind, for at least a couple of minutes, he was flummoxed. And I don't think the Yorkshire accent helped.

i just watched epitaph one with my friend who has never seen dh (and not into sci fi). i think it's a good starter ep which is weird because it's like the last ep but anyway. it was a really fun experience for me to share that with her and she liked it. she was engaged and asked questions throughout and can't believe it's not allowed to continue telling its story when many other shows i won't name here are. anyway she's keen to watch the whole series so i'm going to get her the dvd for xmas! :)
