  • thumbs up if you know that the kroot can be used as a standalone army

  • what else is great is with the kroot rifle you get 2 attacks per kroot

  • dont forget about they have more attacks then spess mehreins

  • actually, a shaper is an upgrade so it IS included in the 20 base kroot. Also, a better way to get a jump on a unit is by out flanking, so krootoxes aren't my choice. Also, there are tons of better guns to choose from than a kroot gun. One more thing, rapid fire is 12" no matter what the range of the gun is, not half.

  • Kroot get 3 strength 4 attacks on the charge. If you get the jump on a unit, ANY unit, you'll do some damage. You just have to have enough Kroot in the squad to get success. Also: OUTFLANK

  • okay so, for those thinking kroot suck at cc cause of initiative 3 not entirely true, if you assault with kroot ans a shitload of hound you should be able to cut a squad in half with the hounds and then make your 30-60 attacks with your remaining kroot, also their shooting is prety average but in wood with that +1 cover save they hard to penitrate, also it would be foolish to assult kroot unless you could take them down.

  • This vid could have been 5 seconds long: "The Kroot.DON`T use them."

Seriously, again with the "Kroot are the Tau`s good close combat unit" mantra you ppl insist on using? Do you know what makes a GOOD close combat unit?

S and WS >4,at least 2+ attacks base, initiative 5 or above, the option for power weapons and/or fists or at least Rending, and a decent armor save.Kroot have no power weapons/rending and 6+ save is nothing. No one should really EVER bother with them except for gunline cover walls.

  • @1000thVoice Your a jew =D. They are a meat shield that happens to do "okay" in close combat.

  • @Deathwaffle717

Why would I be a jew?!??!?

  • @1000thVoice they do ok, get good attacks, chances are you will lose them quickly, so charge and deal damage, if the enemy is in a tight spot, you can lure them right into whatever you want. MEAT SHIELDS MAN. also a 6 (plus) save works when you have a good amount of units, thus tyranids. 20 units is not that bad either. best fitting them SOMEWHERE in a Tau army, but hay I use tau for the fire warriors :P (love em)

  • a shas'o is pretty good in combat :P

  • Pretty good points although I tend leave the shapers and Oxen behind going with only kroot warriors and hounds. Forget the 6+ armor save, Shapers are there to give your Kroot ld 9 which is very nice.

  • I love kroot. I would forget the krootox though. I Just infiltrate mine and use them as a buffer, as I pick of high priority, while their infantry is tangled up with the kroot. Also, I really like the paint job you've done

  • rapid fire is always only at 12" , but still a good vid

  • personally not a fan of kroot. Not had much look with them. Id prefer to spend the points on more battle suits or pathfinders. Pathfinders are GODS! anyway i enjoyed your videos anyway nice one.

  • @mattlightbound Pathfinder are GODS!...?

Well, kind of. Until they get assaulted in turn three. They'll also be first priority to an enemy with sense if you can't find decent cover with them.
