  • Shao Lin's Road was Konami's official Yie Ar sequel but it didnt play anything like the original.Still,it was 100% better than this dog mess of a game, which i bought !!

  • this looks terrible but the spectrum version was even worse- and i bought it!

  • when confronted with the bosses I was just jumping from left to right all the time just to be able to hear the music. :)

  • Never even knew til this very moment there was a Yie Ar Kung Fu 2. Kind of looks like it sucked.

  • I played this game just for the fantastic music during the fight. It's fantastic!

The final stage is not level 8, but 08! Quite funny!

  • Seems like the only thing they really put their mind in this game was the music. Otherwise it was a major letdown after Yie ar Kung Fu I. :P

  • ich habs damals von Datasette gespielt..lol war geil.

  • The AI seemed really dumb

  • I loved this game and the music! :) My tactic was to stand where he stands and wait for him to move to one side. Then i would follow him and form back i would use high kick and finish him. The problem were forth and eight enemy with their magic. Ahh, i love that game! :D

  • 3:30 he didn't have a chance to turn over xD

  • Excelent! I loved that game interesting Deja Vu

  • only 8 levels?

  • c64 had amazing music man

  • wow the MSX version was wayyyy better

  • Brings back memories...

  • mei - ling!!! ^^

  • I wonder if Konami drew inspiration for the name of that opponent from one of the wives of Chiang Kai-shek (Jiang Jieshi)?

  • @ClassicTVMan81 xerxes

  • @deadline27

Now, I was referring to the character of Mei-ling. One of the wives of Chiang Kai-shek was Soong Mei-ling, the daughter of Charles Jones Soong.

  • The soundtrack is too good for words

  • Hmm I found this game a lot harder than you make it seem :)

  • One of the best computer game musics during the fight.

  • Does it look as though the names of the opponents for whom Lee Young is fighting are in Wade-Giles and not in Pinyin?

For example: the final boss, Li-Jen. In Pinyin, his name becomes Liren.

  • It's a very good game. I know only the MSX version, and this one seems to be better than this C64 version.

  • How could you ace that so quick. Yo if you lived in the 80's you would've been a supreme being.

  • its because we are now getting use to rael big heavy games.. i guess

  • of videogames.

  • I liked this, but I perferred the original Yie Ar Kung Fu to the sequel

  • Hehe, hab das früher nie geschafft durchzuspielen.

  • Good memories with this. One of the few c^$ games that I bought myself.

I remember playing it throughout that summer, dripping in sweat because the PC room had no A/C.

The music was, as with all C64 games, amazing.

  • This version of the game seems so glitchy compared to its MSX counterpart.

  • Oh man I would probably even buy a next gen console if they made a remake of the Yie Are Kung Fu games. Those were friggin awesome.

  • i've never played this before but the flying pikachus with red pants and the flashing bowl of ramen noodles and the boss must mean its pretty damn good.

  • This seems to be the first ever competitive fighting game with a playable female char (Lan-Fang was selectable in versus mode).

  • they need a next gen update of this game.

  • first guy has a killer plait! now that is some dangerous hair!

  • Yes Martin Galway did amazing things with the SID music chip.

  • Very nice! I hadn't been able to finish this when I was a wee tot. Took me back. :)

  • Yeah! I like Yie Ar Kung-Fu series! :D

  • God Bless Martin Galway!!!
