  • Nevermind linkin worm, as it turns out i needed VCP enabled. I thought i had, but it turns out it wasn't. Then setting WIILOAD to COM4 worked. Thanks anyways :D

  • this is great for FTP and such, but how would you set it up to use a USB Gecko?

I tried setting the variable WIILOAD to COM4, but that didn't work... why?

Does it depend on the usb slot it's in?

  • @hetoan2 this isnt for gecko.... try google

  • @linkinworm1 wiiload works with a USBGecko... it says so in the wiiload.exe itself @_@

  • Thanks this has helped a lot!

  • Just use SendELF. That way you don't have to do all these steps.

  • yea but with this, you just double click on the file and it sends, no messing with anything else no need for external programs

  • joesalad21- thanks!!!that helps

  • whats the xtension on the document'

  • the wiiload app?, when you move it to &system& folder it has no extention, jsut name it wiiload, if you cant rename the .exe you need to change the option in "folder options" in control panel so that, uncheck "hide known type for files" about 8 down the list in the folder options

  • for you people having the errors, try this instead:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.elf\.dol\shell\Send to Wii\command]

    @="wiiload %1"

  • Very nice Linkinworm.

Great tut. Keep up the good work.

  • still waiting for the homebrew channel that doesn't requires zelda.

  • Just buy the damn game!!!! Cheep ASS

  • Just rent or borrow it. You only need it once for the installation.

  • it seems that the hack doesn't works on update 3.4. That was also a reason why I didn't want to buy it.

  • Im getting an error:

"Cannot import C:\Documents and settings\(My name etc)\Desktop\Wiiload.reg: The specified file is not a registry script.

You can only import binary registry files from within the registry editor."

    Any help?

  • [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.elf\.dol\shell\Send to Wii\command]

    @="wiiload %1"

make sure you have it as that with everything in the [] brackets on one line and do a save as wiiload.reg onto your desktop that may be the problem, what system are you useing?

  • Yeah i just copied and pasted what you had in the description and saved to desktop as reg. When i clicked merged it gave me a message and i clicked yes and then it gave me that error.

    Im using Windows XP

  • what you could do is

    opening run> type in regedit

then open up HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT then right click on it and add "new key" name this to .DOL and make another on in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT name that .ELF then in each of the foldes make these directorys within each otehr shell/send to wii/command use the "new key" to add the folders then in the command folders right click then add "string value value name default, data value

wiiload %1 then carry on with the vid after the reg part.

  • Okay first off thank you very much for helping me =)

Alright i got to the part where i made the 2 new folders(.elf already had a folder made) but after that im completly lost. =/

  • add us on MSN it will be easier ill PM you my address

  • well i just use a sd card and i think its much easier
