This is bull shit. I had acl surgery two weeks ago, and whilst can just about limp without crutches, my physio didnt recommend even trying to walk without crutches for 2 weeks, to keep the weight off and swelling down. I'm glad im in Europe and not the US, where private clinics dupe patients with this shit. I'd be concerned about the priavtisation of health and quality of the doctors.
The new revolutionary treatment that is taking over minor surgeries is called PROLOTHERAPY! Type it in on Youtube! Cost efficient, removes arthritis, rejuvenates joints/ligaments, eliminates pain completely, and annihilates popping noises!
What is the difference between your method as opposed to other acl recon methods? I'm about 20 hrs post-op from an allograft acl recon, and can't imagine doing more than the recommended PCM machine starting at 0-30. Surgically what do you do different as far as placement of the graft? For the affected knee, I can't see why there would be a difference between allograft and patellor tendon
This is very real. My 14 year old daughter just had her ACL repaired by Dr. Sanders on Wednesday August 3, 2011. Today is August 6, 2011 and she had done everything I have seen in the videos from the Sanders Clinic. She had a complete ACL reconstruction. She is already bending her knees to 145 degrees. Dr. Sanders has called everyday to the Therapist, Allen, to check on her progress. She is only three days out and is completely walking. In her case she has had very little pain. Video coming
I like the video but, hate the music. i watched this video to see what its like after the Surgery. The music takes away from the audio so its hard to hear whats being said.
" 1 day after surgery" ..... this is the worst FAKE ad i've ever seen. Im 1 week post op with Patellar Tendon and Menicus and hardly can bend my knee at all.
I had my ACL rebuilt 14 days ago...I can now walk and was able to very shortly after the operation. I had a hamstring graft from my left and placed in my left knee. Mentally I would consider myself to be able to block out the pain and walk....but the problem I have with this video is that his movements on day 1 are so fluid, no hint of pain in his face..to remove all doubt it would have been good if the wound was uncovered to demonstrate the youthfullness of the incisions.
no way i had my acl reconstruction 4 weeks ago by notre dame football team doctor and i couldnt walk till about a week and half and any sooner i would kill myself cause of pain.
After surgery you can put your feet on the ground because it hurts so much , and ou have Something sucking the blood and liquids from the surgery so this cant be the day after surgery . i started bending my knee 3 days later and WITH THE HELP OF A MACHINE , not alone so this is fake or someone wrote the titul wrong ;)
For all the doubters out there. You are wrong about this being a fake, plain and simple.
Its largely in the mind. I saw this video and thought no way, but tried it and am able to do the same things. Its my second ACL op and the first time it took me 12 weeks to get off crutches.
Basically the sooner you get off your backside the easier and quicker the rehab will be.
Try it for yourself, and no im not taking strong painkillers.
These videos from Sanders are truly inspirational!
@cdmogulski1 I appreciate that you have found my videos helpful. However, I do not encourage others to do what our patients do. Our operations are tailored such that the patients will be able to tolerate and not be harmed by our aggressive rehab. Anyone else' rehab program should be established by their surgeon. If he/she says that you need a cast for a month, then that's what you have to do. If somone is unhappy with a rehab programmme, then they should be operated on by another surgeon.
Thanks for the sensible advise. I got the op done on the NHS in the UK.
Compared to the first op I had, this was much less trauma this time.
I had a great surgeon and my physio seems really nice. Her advice is that everyone has different limits and pain thresholds, but basically the more mobile you are rather than letting things stiffen up the better.
For the doubters out there still check out my video ACL three days after surgery.
Is it possible to walk like this? Yes since the drug is still in his body. Just drugging the body and you can walk.
Is it smart to walk like this? No since you just did a surgery. You body need to rest and heal!
I do my surgery (hamstring allograft) in Ottawa-Canada. I am off crutches on day 5 after the post check-up with the surgeron. Off immobilizer on day 10 after checking up with physio. Off pain killer in 3 days but the pain start to kick in after a week.
1. Motocross riders do not represent the general community...they are TUFF! Most do NOT feel ANY pain.
2. The Sanders Clinic needs to say what DRUGS these patients are on now and what they were given yesterday in SURGERY>>> THIS IS WHAT ENABLES THEM TO DO THIS STUFF!! Not necessarily good surgery or the opposite patellar tendon!! This is all PROPAGANDA!!
This video shouldn't ever be posted!!!! This video makes people who are recovering, just like me believe that they can bend their knee like that. This is not real. This is one of the most stupid videos ever!!!
dude how is this possible? even if he used the other pateral tendon the PAIN....lemme repeat that the P.A.I.N. associated with them cutting your bone to bone graft took like a week to go away. this coming from a kid with a high tolerance to pain.
@AFGBODMON i had my surgery 2 days ago, f course I can't do dat, so i showed my doctor this video and told me that this is posible but with tons of morphine, so that's why this boy is walking and exercising like that.
it will be more then 8 months if u really let it heal i had ACL/MCL &meniscus TEAR in right knee, ACL/ meniscus LEFT knee, i could still dunk before surgery but i had no real explosion!!!!!!!!! can't be i had it on both knees @ still hurts.
I was surprised he didn't start doing the moonwalk
