They said its cause of third wheel, but just imaging first blackout on thursday then sat. within 2 days two times. after that nothing happen. what do you think they changed whole mrt third wheel within 1 day or two days? i am thinking still they are hiding from public. this issue should be very transparent.

It's not because of the technicians who do the actual checking. It's the engineers' faults because they never schedule proper maintenance checks. 10 years is a very long time, but to check all the tracks require a lot of manpower, so it cannot be done frequently.

Anyway all systems will fuark up one way or another. it's frustrating, but hating on the system is not going to help solve anything.

Maintenance haven pass want to build more tracks...learn how to walk properly first before running..fare so high, but maintenance of older tracks not used for it. Plan only when something happened..hopeless..

WOW, Mrt came into place in 1988 23years ago. So it is safe to assume that they have did 2 maintenance over the 23years. WOW. Prices of fares 1 year up 1 time. checks and maintenance 10+years do 1 time. WOW, Singaporeans' are so fortunate that we have such a reliable transport service.

Looking and thinking about what was said and shown, a logical conclusion is that the claws may have been last inspect 10 years or more ago. Interesting how a uber essential piece of the power line that is vulnerable to misalinement is not inspect more regularly, in light of the fact that the system is now running close to max capacity.

The cable tie extra fix is sooooo high tech, must have been a foreign talent idea. I feel so safe now riding in a first world or is it world class train system.
