riding with a rear brake is needless. The guys that ride fixies without front are posers and suiciders. It is plain stupidity. Front brake is vital to your safety. I never use it, but i have it - just in case.
@potenttokin im not gonna die because i don't have a front break... i live in denmark and most bikes don't have front brakes here... you are the fuck-wad
@bonzoshifferman my bike doesnt have holes for the front or rear brake some do and some dont. i like riding a track bike compared to any other. ive been riding for 5 yrs first year with a brake. i dont recommend people taking off their brake unless your ready and able to spin your gear to max full speed for long periods of time. if you can then why not take em off.i know im not a poser or suicider i never think about dyin. lifes too short to worry about others opinions people need to be original
just fyi; the wider the pedal, and the more area in contact with the cleat/shoe, the LESS pressure in ONE area, when you ride over 50 or even 30 miles, you start to get 'pressure points' with MTB pedals, just widening the contact area a little relieves spreads the pressure over the width of your foot, while still 'concentrating' the force of the pedal stroke, since mtb OR road cleats are STILL much smaller than the surface of the foot
@omgimlesbiantoo I know the difference between SPD and SL. THe Point is, with what kind of shoes you can walk better? If you Pedal for training... SL, for Messengering SPD. fyi= For your interesting? If it is right, you must be a man without much Time....
So fixed gears literaly only have one gear... how do you cope with hills or when the bike runs out of gears going downhill and runs away with you!

why using the SPD-SL pedals? I pedal my bike with the smaller, in my opinion better ones, SPD-Pedals.
777chriss0r 1 year ago
@777chriss0r SPD SLs are more for performance racing rather than every day use. They're harder to walk in though.
