back in 1982 in england , i was 13 , my family was picking apples on a farm in kent for the the late summer early autumn , my mum dad and brother and myself , we had a cassette player / radio , we had a tape at the time we used to play , this was one of the songs on it , i lost my father at christmas but i can remember all 20 songs on that tape , i whish i could turn back time , it was harder then , but at least all my family were around , i miss all of them that are no longer with us ....
This was my mum's favourite song I had it played at her funeral.I don't like to remember that day but I love to listen to this song.I still miss you mum.x
@fozzie5000 I'm sorry to hear about your mum but its a beautiful way to remember her by with such a lovely melodic song.Hope it gives you and your family the strength its given me to get over your sad loss.I often come back to hear this when I'm feeling low,I have a good cry and then think what a fantastic person my mum was.

Superb rendition. I was familiar with Julie Andrews version but Vince voice was great.

Edelweiss version of Vince Hill is much better than Julie A. Thats my opinion. Whats yours?

@jayjayfud
I actually like both versions but Vince Hill's was the one that got into the charts. I love to sing along with this one.

This reminds me of gentle days not so long ago. Vince Hill seemed to make this song his own
