Facebook not only allows me to follow friends and family in real time, but I can easily access their history - things I may have missed. I see your points about Facebook drama, and just calling those you want to connect with. If that works for you then kudos. For me, there's no way I could keep up with everyone just via phone and Twitter. I have a big family and lots of close friends - and if they're in another time zone, forget it. (cont...)
I can't stand Twitter. Not that I'm not capable of learning a new "language", but it's not something I'm keen on for social networking. Plus there's no way to request a connection with someone when your tweets are private. Twitter also falls short on photo albums, birthdays, likes/interests, groups, events, and chat - things that are important for many people to have all in one place. Most importantly, Facebook is very well organized, and now Timeline has changed the game completely (cont...)
