  • It's Blessing!!!! Not Nightmare!!!!...Don't you learn anything good abt having good things in your life??? Wake up! I love Guy and his family...and her wife is an inspiration to many mothers out there who couldn't even take "GUD" care of one child...

  • It's Blessing!!!! Not Nightmare!!!!...Don't you learn anything good abt having good things in your life??? Wake up!

  • Guy Penrod, God bless you & your family, for you've brought joy to so many through your singing.

  • i love guy penrod he is am amazing dad and i would love to have many or a little more kids

  • Wow, 7 kids! What a nightmare!! Poor parents.

  • @luizabonat410 they have 8 now!

  • @luizabonat410 Well, it seems they don't look unhappy with their 7 kids (8 now)

  • @luizabonat410 Are you kidding me? Really? The parents don't look like they're living in a nightmare to me. The whole family seems joyous! I hope YOUR children don't read your comment!

  • oh my goodness that was adorable!!!

  • This'll make you smile! Breakfast for NINE! And then they sing! Guy Penrod .. one of my favorite singers from way back when.

  • I have lost contact with Angie's mother and father. (he has my pastor for a while). If any family member reads this, can you write to me and update me on her parents.

  • That's awesome that he has a big family. I grew up in a big family. It's great.

  • Hoover, in Belfast, this year, was Guy Penrod still with GVB? I thought I heard him in the song, "Because He Lives." Thanks.

  • guy penrod i would like to stop smoking but i need some prayer from you and family .

  • Such good looking children! : ) God bless you Guy and your family

  • What an awesome family, they are a real blessing. God Bless you Guy and your family.

  • AWESOME!!!

  • WOW!!

  • Wow, most grown people can't sing that well. I just love it.

  • the family sings beautifully

  • wow, what I wouldn't give a house full of harmonizing worshippers!!! :) What an inspiration for Godly living!

  • Beautiful family, great voices. Can we look forward to a family singing group in the future?

  • this was shot several years ago. the boy in the blue shirt is now my boyfriend. this is a great family & they got some wonderful kids (:

  • seriously? :D wow it most be amazing to be a part (or to have been?) of such a loving family ;)

  • Just amazing

  • yay,

I found an article on Guy. May, 2009 regarding the Helping Hands Concert of August 4th. Just google Clay County Democrat and search Guy Penrod and it will be one of the articles that come up. All is well. Blessings, Judy

  • If you are a Guy Penrod fan and have been blessed by his fabulous musical talents and humble, warm heart, you can support him in his solo career efforts. His first solo concert is scheduled August 30 at the Music City Centre in Branson, MO. See you there!

  • I have always loved his singing but I'm not sure he would work as well as a soloist as he would in a trio or quartet.

  • What a wonderful family and I wonder if they would ever need a cleaner I'd be willing to travel from England. They are truly wonderful.

  • never mind the fruit & veg what about that figure! I have'nt had children & dont look like that, If I knew a large family could be genuinely that happy I would have dipped my toe in the water, so nice to see a God filled home. God Bless the family as well as the rest of the Band for all future ventures. Reading other comments, are people forgetting there are other singers in the band & a comment on Guy looking like our Lord is wrong as we will only know when the Lord returns.

  • Wow! What a beautiful family. God bless them and their sweet voices. I know how his wife feels. As soon as my son was born, in the hospital, I said, "this is what I was put on earth to do!" It all made sense from that moment on. I am saddened that my husband won't have more, but God bless her, she seems to have a TON more energy than me! God gives us what we can handle. I hope all the best for them, and maybe oneday we can look forward to more music from that family?

  • i salute Guy!...8 kids! wow! i have 3 boys myself and it's a riot in our house most of the time!

  • hey ayll..i know them!!! GOd Bless

  • And where is WESS?

  • I was able to meet Guy a couple of weeks ago. And I can say, he's definitely a family guy and has a heart for singing still...but priorities change and so does God's will for your life. I pray God's blessing on the Penrod family. And his kids sing great!

  • Did he say by chance what is plans to do now that hes not with the GVB anymore?

  • In response to recent comments:

Guy Penrod and his wife are at an age where their children and their parents require a lot of their time ...

... more so than GVB ...

    This should be common sense.

    Personally,

I am grateful for the many years that

Guy Penrod serves with GVB ...

.. and I believe that Bill Gaither was deeply saddened that Guy chose to leave ..

... and understood the reasons why ...

  • but how come marshall left?

  • from what i understand, marshall was homesick and missed his church and family back home

  • Has anyone considered that Guy just felt it was time for a change? Why does there have to be some nefarious plot behind it? Perhpas Marshall Hall after going from an unknown to a known after his years with the vocal band was ready to step out on his own.. Maybe he committed some immoral act that left Bill no choice.

  • Guy personally seems to be staying under the radar for whatever reason.. if it was done without Guy's full consent, or if he felt pressured to step down then I am 100% against his departure from the GVB(this goes for Marshall as well). I believe Guy made them more than just a SG group, he made them a powerful worship team.

  • Mr. Guy Penrod has done more to bring the GVB to the highest level possible than anyone before him, including Bill Gaither. What Bill should have done, if he just wanted to retire, would have been to turn the group over to Guy and step down. Letting Guy go was the most idiotic thing Bill Gaither could have ever done.

  • i do not believe Bill "let guy go" i heard guy has heard some vocal problems in the recent years which is why he didnt have as many solos and didnt belt it out like he used to. i think guy just felt like it was time to move on. everybody always blames it on bill but i do not believe he "fired" guy

  • Well guys getting older and his voice probably isn't what it used to be. THe good thing about it is he can sing baritone and low tenor as well

  • hey hoover you got Guy singing They baptised Jesse Taylor....I love that version..haven't seen it for years

  • Guy penrod is gud yes but he is not the group ok,,

GVB existed b4 him n can stil do it after him!

if Guy wants 2 go then let him go,,hes not the 1st member to leave the group n m sure hes nt gna b the last,,they all come and go!

  • @LEADNTENR I agree with you.

  • I´ve been listening to this interview too and I have not heard a single word about it. I think that is pretty poor also against the fans. :-(

  • anyone know why Marshall Hall left at the same time? The radio talkshow that Bill was on made it sound like there is something behind all this

  • What a beautiful family! May God Bless them.

  • Why can´t I see my comment ??? I shall not repeat it you said but ........ ???

  • I am very upset that Guy Penrod and Marsh Hall had to go. I don´t have a clue why Bill Gaither changed in this direction. It was NOT

    a good decision at all.

Both Guy and Marsh if you should ever read our comments - Please go on singing for us !!!! We love you dearly !!! <3<3<3

  • i'll miss guy and marshall a lot, but david, mark, and michael are all wonderful, talented men and they will be a wonderful addition to the gvb. guy was with the gaither vocal band since around 1994, and he has 8 kids. he probably just felt it was time to move on. i'm really excited about david, mark and michael being back. they were dearly missed by many including me. guy and marshall are also wonderful, talented men and God will take care of them

  • Amen....what a Blessing

    Nancy in Texas

  • Boy I hate to see him leave the GVB but I wish him well in whatever he does

  • I will want my family to be like this one day...

  • Guy Penrod and his family go to my church. It's especially funny to see Joey in all those pictures at that young of an age. Hehe, although I must admit I think he looks better with the mohawk that he got at the Kentucky mission trip. :P

  • And where is that ??? Please drop me a line !!!

  • Beautiful the song at the end. Beautiful!

  • WOW!!!! That is absolutely beautiful!

  • does anyone know the name of they sing?

  • The tune is Lyons, you'll find it in the Baptist hymnal under "O Worship the King."

  • WOW!! It felt like someone threw a bucket of snow on me when y'all started singing!! That was an unexpected way to wake up and start the day. I had 5 children who are all grown now. I LOVED being a mom to 5!! There was NEVER a dull moment. God bless!! LADY

  • cute.

  • I pray that I will have a good family putting God first.

  • I love how the kids are already singing harmony. Professional singers in the making I'm sure of it. God bless Guy and Angie and the entire family.

  • o my God this is so sweet!!! wonderfull family!!

  • wow guy and angie will have to watch their boys when they gt old enough to date.. they got some really good looking kids!!

  • 2:36 wow they are good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • God bless this wonderful family!

  • wow that wee family could be their own choir - that was awesome, well done lads and lassies GBU all

  • That was fantabulous in the Pernod household and the singing was perfectly in tune - beautiful

  • God Bless him!

  • i like that song it is pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Praise the Lord for this family. What we have to look forward to in the world of Southern Gospel Music with this family coming up. I have tears of joy in my eyes hearing them sing.

  • I love this video because my family loves Guy Penrod and we have nine kids!! So it is good to see a big family!

  • And here I've been watching the Gaither videos and lamenting the fact that all the great old gospel singers are leaving us for fairer shores--little did I know the Penrods are raising up the next generation all by themselves! There even seems to be a few loud mouths in the group--too bad they don't have more girls-someone needs to raise the next Vestal!

  • What a blessing to see such a close-knit family, such love.May God continue to bless this family richly. Isn't Guy such a cutie.

  • Just wonderful, thank you Jesus for this family.

  • just wow

  • I thing Guy and his wife is living in a paradise here in earth. How proud they are.

Really their kids are gifts of GOD.

  • They are so handsome and attractive. Glad that they were well-behaved boys!

  • A sweet family. I saw the children at a Gaithers'concert sitting off the side of the stage.( back when he had only 6 :o) and they were all dressed up and so well behaved

  • Oops! It might be O Worship the KING, All Glorious Above. Our church only sings "praise" songs written in the last couple of years, so I sometimes forget the GREAT OLD HYMNS!

  • Oh Worship the Lord, All Glorious Above....

  • They are extremely talented, and super kind!

  • does anybody know the name of the song the children sing?

  • I bet thats a load for Angie to deal with alone when Guys on the road

  • What an incredible bunch of kids. They have truly have the voices of angels.

  • Talk about a sweet and kind family. Guy and Angie have them hopefully on the right track as adults!

  • What a sweet family. They seem to be very loving and organized. I loved the singing. They should make a CD. Talent does run in families.

  • I want to have a big family like this! Beautiful singing, boys!

  • That was such a charming video! I want to get to know that 'Guy's family. :-)

  • When does she have time to can the fruit and veggies?

  • brava!!!

  • nice name, Teneechor=)

  • does anybody know the name of the church where Guy and Angie attend?°

  • I enjoyed watching this whole family and how they work and cooperate with each other. We also have a big family, 5 girls and 3 boys so we're like the same with them. Thanks for sharing!

  • I really like getting a view behind the scene of life beyond the tapes. What wonderful people with everyday problems like ours.
