i dont play many newer rpgs, mostly because of adult time and work shit... but once im able to work less im gonna check out what's going on in the rpg world... that being said, I cant stand a lot of the rock techno tunes that a lot of rpgs have today. I can get into this tune though. give me old school epic engaging sounding tracks any day like FFT, secret of mana, tactics ogre, chrono trigger, etc.

Was I the only one who dilibrately prolonged this batte so I could enjoy the music? Great catch including so many Tales songs, they get overlooked far too much in these lists.

Yeah right, this list is filled with tales music and it's the same with a whole bunch of other lists like this. Baten Kaitos on the other hand, is always underrepresented and it's a damn shame because those two games have the best soundtracks I have ever listened to.

That's because Tales music isn't that noteworthy except for the battle songs. And I've only beaten the first Baten Kaitos. And I put in 3 songs from that single game.

And there are only two games.

And the battle songs in the second aren't that great (from what I've listened to). The non-battle songs though, are amazing.

Well I'm not criticizing your list or anything, just pointing out to that other guy that the Tales series has plenty of fans when it comes to the music.

As for Baten Kaitos, the sequel has a lot of great battle themes IMO and both of the games have my favorite soundtracks. Both of the OST's have a bunch of tracks that really showcase Sakuraba's true musical ability. If only the game sold better then more people would appreciate the music but meh, whatever.
