  • I've use a subwoofer to avoid overloading the system, but the speakers have enough bass.

  • Incidentally, do you use a sub-woofer with those Quads?

  • Very beautiful sound form those Quads, You can play anything on them, except loud noise. They are made for real music, haha. Congrats. Nice.

  • Very nice imaging.

  • THE SOUND IS CLEAR. Sorry the background noise. My brother, Jacinto, the camera man, asked much ligt, and I turned 21 fluorescent lamps from the ceiling, incorrectly. Afterwords, the camera was enable to withdraw from the support... Martz

  • No, is a Super VHS video: the Grundig GV 470 S. But I have a VCR Technics under the Quad 909 amplifier. Currently I use only the Reel Tape Recorder Akai 4000 DS, you can see and hear from my Internet HIFI STORY.mp4. Thanks, Martz Inura.

  • Is that black box under the TV a VCR?

  • Parabens pelo sistema, sou um apaixonado pela música e neste momento sinto-me a viajar para outro mundo.

Caso seja pedir muito pode-me indicar-me o nome do CD?

    Gostava de ter esta musica.

    Saudações audiophilas Pedro Trindade

  • The Quad 33 Pre arrived in 1976 with the 303 amplifier, but I have a 33 Pre with de 405 amplifier, arrived in 1975 (100+100 watts). They are working in my stereo video HIFI STORY (excuse me, should be HI-FI) and with the Tannoy and MA Golden Mk II (here, you can see them in the video, to high levels).

With Quad ESL 2905, I use the 99 series (arrived in 1999) with the 909 amplifier (140+140 watts), but, caution, only until level 22 or 23 of the Pre (max. 32).

  • ''Respect'' to Quad!!! I've notice the presence of a quad 33 and 405 at the back. . .

  • They are the partial n.º 6 an 7 of "The Spaces Between us" of the great orchestral and electric music composer Craig Armstrong.

  • whats the song playing ?

    thanks

  • Even thru youtube it sounds as if the pianist were right there in the room.

  • They are alike (same type). The new models, specialy the Quad ESL-2905 have a deeper bass, yes, a deeper bass, the top end is upgraded, only a litle, the sound have more bounce, I think, and the speakers have greater dinamics. But yet not recommended for heavy metal. They are almost perfect for male voices, strings and some noises. They are Frightful Reals. Sometimes my dog takes them as reals and raises and barks! He never did this with the other three pairs speakers I have. Martz

  • Very real. Great reproduction.

  • In the past Quad named its loudspeakers by the year of its issue: Quad (19) 57; Quad (19) 63; Quad (1) 989, and now Quad ESL-2905, to suggest an ideia of future, I think. Martz Inura

  • are these electrostatic? i want to hear electrostatics bad but cant find any around my area. thinking about buying an older model like the 63,s or 989,s. have u heard them? sound like yours?

  • A definite candidate for the best speaker on the planet but with a strange model number. Why 2905?, it's hard to remember.

  • The bottom noise derives from illumination. We can apreciate here the smothness an clarity of Quad ESL 2905, ye the strong point of this speakers could be the male voices and string instruments, but... at low levels. Martz Inura

  • Há um ruído de fundo, mas é da iluminação. Dá para se ter uma ideia das Qual ESL 2905, embora o seu ponto forte esteja na voz masculina e nos instrumentos de cordas, aqui não representados. Martz Inura
