You can hear that all the way to Orlando and see the smoke trail too. when launch was at night the afterburners could be seen from miles and miles. I could not believe it until my brother in law told me to go outside with all the neigbors to see and hear. And when it comes back to earth all you see its a "whising star" or a "meteor" like flash then you hear the loudest BOOM !!!!!!! its amazing.

@the13joker Those are not afterburners. SRBs are fuelled by liquid hydrogen and oxygen pumped out of exterior tank. Reaction between these two elements is what gives the "afterburner" like effect. Just so you know for future.
