I can look it up for anyone who wants to know. Anyway, DiLorenzo points out the dangers of the Federalist system and what Hamilton was trying to achieve. Went down to Greenville to pick up a load of adhesives, and passed a store called Dixie Republic as I was trucking down Hwy 25. Kinda tempted to stop and look, except it seemed they didn't have adequate parking for 18 wheelers. Looked like they had lots of pro South stuff at that store.

I agree with you mostly. But I would ask you this, what does it mean to be an 'American'? To be honest, I can't say. I never identify myself that way. It seems to mean anyone who is born in or becomes a citizen of the US - some 300 million plus people. Personally, I don't want to be citizen of the US - I want my State to be free again and for Washington, DC to have no power over me. I realise you may not agree with me on this, but it's something to consider hopefully.

As a Yankee I'll admit that northerners (excluding Alaskans and New Hampshirites) are less freedom loving, but southerners are typically more nationlistic. I do think that there are more military bases in the South than the north probably relating to reconstruction.
