Consciousness might be the most advanced part of a universal process represented by quantum physics, but it is physical action the collapses the wave function don’t you think?
All the real work is happening in the invisible, formless, inexperiencable "real world" and is being displayed in symbolic fashion in a 3D-virutal reality type simulation that "is" human consciousness or "subjective reality". Or so it seems to me.
It seems to me that there is an objective reality but it isn't anything like the experienced subjective reality in form or substance. However, consciousness, that subjective experience of that objective reality is a product of that objective reality and not its primary substance as you seem to suggest.
@EartherZero How do you know that " subjective experience of that objective reality is a product of that objective reality " ( quoting you) IN fact so called objective reality is a product of consciousness - and there is no single objective reality- it is dimensionalized into many variations ; as expressed by the Many worlds theory of quantum physics
@JamesJTraitz Well, I could ask, "How do you know that?" as well. It seems to me that there is indeed one single objective reality (the real world) from which conscious brains construct individualized subjective realities we know and love as our individual consciousness. I guess any discussion requires an agreement about terminology. I define consciousness as the 3D+time virtual reality presentation of the world and ourselves in it from which we interact with the "real" world.
I agree we interact with a physical reality!

@nickharvey7 I would say that it is mental or conscious action that collapses the wave function
