@johnnykaos313 I feel that it is not optimal. Your sight over bore will be pushing 3-4 inches, and it makes the dot hard to use on anything other than your zeroed range. If you want a red dot, you are better off using a 45 degree offset mount
Hey Tim, I love this scope. I would love to mount it on my M1A. I have an Arms 18 mount. I know in the instructions that it comes with, it has a 7.62 conversion. Is it accurate? Will I be able to use the BDC? Or should I look for something else?
Hey great overview of the scope. I am really trying to decide on a scope for my AR 1-4 power. I am budgeted to about 500 bucks and want something that will be rugged . I will be putting this on my defensive carbine and It will be getting banged up a bit. A red dot is out of the question because I am color blind and can not see the dots during the day. I want plane black ret with illum. help me decide. hilux and millet are out im thinking burris tac 30, nikon M223 or vtx PST.
How would you compare this to the Trijicon TR24? I'm currently running a TR21, but it's a 1.25-4x and I want a true 1-4x and I can't decide between the Burris XTR-14 and the Trijicon TR24.
@PackPractical I dont really know anything about recoil comps, Ive got a flash supressor on mine. Is it that big of a difference when shooting rapid fire? Does it really keep you on target that much better?
what about the pepr mount and the fast fire red dot?
what is your opinion of the piggy backed red dot is it set too high?

@rmv1021 yes it would work, but the burris 1.5-6 XTR has a 308 reticle :)

@SPCkeith if you can afford the VT PST, it is a great scope as well as the burris.

Is that one of JP's recoil comps?
hansjurgen 3 years ago
Yes it is. It is the best comp I have ever used, but its loud and I can only use it in open class.
