When I was a guide at Historic Ft. Snelling in Minnesota, I used to play this on the fife at the end of the day, as we were all marching back to stow our gear. When we went on expeditions outside the fort, we'd often whistle it as we were getting on/off the bus, or whatever.

I also played it on the fife when I was in grad school, as my study abroad group was trooping down a road in Siberia. :-D

One of the best TV themes ever written, and a great stand-alone tune, to boot!

We were sponsored by NABET-CWA, the union representing TV stations WROC and WHEC. "Hogan's Heroes" is a TV theme song, get it? (Too bad you didn't record the Simpsons theme, which we also played!)
