  • im not a hater, but how does zac brown, who does seem like a nice guy but "toes "sounds justlike jimmy buffet, and lady gaga, who sounds AND looks like madonna, sell 2 milllion albums while CH has some bushwak judge tell him he took an aussie folk song and turned it into "down under"?... life aint fair

  • is a great love song... I can't think of any better. Pretty much all my male friends that have one through a breakup now have this on their ipods... and they all say it makes them feel stronger... and happier... in dealing with loss and moving on.

  • This is definetly a song to be heard in silence! Amazing song!!!!

  • This songs describes my life to a "T". such a beautiful song

  • Beautiful.

  • This breaks my heart. I wish I could see him live here, but he doesn't play uk too often.

  • Notice how everyone is mostly silent. That means it's a great song. I love this song.

  • this is the song that was playing in my headphones at the moment of my mother's death.. and it still hurts in the most healing way possible. thank you for posting this amazing performance vid

  • this guy kills! im the biggest folk music fan around and if i could only see one live performance in my life, it would be C H

  • this performance is crushing. It's awesome.

  • Does anyone know if this song was used in a movie? For some reason I think it was but can't figure out what movie!

  • Garden State

  • Yes-it's on the soundtrack of "Garden State", released a few years ago.

  • Garden State

  • It was used in 'Garden State'. Which is that movie written by that little guy from 'Scrubs'. It's an awesome song and the movie's really good too. Kinda sweet.

  • The little guy's name is Zach Braff, and he's also written "The last kiss" which is a great movie. Zach Braff is basically brilliant.

  • @bartlettandbosc you must be joking to say garden state was a good movie?? worse piece of crap I ever saw!

  • seeing colin next week....cant wait

  • Great recording. I've seen him live. It might have been that year or maybe a year before at The Corner. He's so polished but you still know by the individuality of his performance that he's a bloke on stage with a guitar. A truly awesome live performer.

  • is and will always be a God of lyrics and guitar...

he needs more recognition for his contributions to the genre he so eloquently expresses.

    your the man Hay.

  • ;( i want to sing this to herrrr

  • Colin Hay is a legend of his time. Amazing song and amazing artist. keep rocking till your 102 cause you'll still have fans. Arizona loves you!

  • Great performance, beautiful song.

  • Great work in holding the camera steady during this very touching performance! Not easy to do in a crowded club, I'm sure.

  • i've seen colin hay live and the guy is unbelievable! never have or will see anything like hat in my life again!

  • Playing something like this requires great heart, whiskey, love, and honesty.

  • @WeLoveOurTragedies .......for my soulmate, by love, my best friend of years, there will never be enough tequila, or open road for our Harley to get over you. So I wont. Even after all these years.

  • Thank you for sharing this video. This is fantastic! A great song...

  • WOW
