No, you're all missing it. While disguising the panda as the main character, this is a story about Polaris being the world's biggest badass.

He kicks the champion's ass and disguises himself in the process; he then uses this as a way to basically cheat everyone out of their money. To do this, he blatantly exploits a friend of his, and is able to convince him not to be mad about it. He then runs off to the polar bear equivalent of the Bahamas and strikes the ultimate "deal with it" pose.

@galvatronic2 If you're still avoiding Kung Fu Panda today, you've made one of the biggest mistakes of your life.

I never saw the original in theaters and saw this first. I figured this was a ripoff, but I saw it anyway. Then I saw the real deal and by the time it was over, it blew all thoughts of this abomination out of my head for weeks. Sure, the memories came back, but the image of the original is perfectly preserved.
