To those who keep commenting "what the fuck is a landspout", a landspout is similar to a tornado, but it forms from the ground and up underneath a supercell and forms a funnel from the bottom. it's like an upside down tornado in a way. Wanna see a good landspout, look up "Amazing Kansas Tornado Footage" unedited.
yes i know that. its just that the only type of severe weather by coasts i can think of are either hurricanes or waterspouts. not the type that Tornado Alley recieves, like hail storms, microbursts or severe tornadoes
Well for one thing it is not uncommon for tornadoes to form from supercells on the outer fringes of hurricanes. In 2002 an F4 tornado tore through Maryland before moving onto Chesapeake Bay.
In 1985 my own county on the coast of Lake Erie was struck by two F4 tornadoes.
they're so beautiful...and so deadly...tornadoes are appearing everywhere this year, cause here in Argentina we had an EF4 that killed ten people...our most powerfull tornado in almost 40 years!!!
When someone thinks of storms they only see the bad in them, and yes they can be very bad,but they are also very cool if they do no damage, its cool to watch them form .
there are not as many tornadoes in the winter months, but it is a common occurance to have a few in the fall and winter months. It will usually be somewhere in the SE United States. As a matter of fact, tornado occurrance has a second but not as a severe peak in the month of November. It's looked at as a type of "mild tornado season" for this time of the year. Even though a mild season, the tornadoes seem more times than not, to be strong to violent tornadoes. 1988 nov 28 raleigh N.C. F4 torn80
cool vid i watched this tornado in my backyard haha not even joking im from garden city ruined are sprinkles in the fields dont beleive me not kiding look in the background in 149 thats them no joke
wait a sec. WTF, Is that snow and ice on the ground and Tornados in the same day. I am not from the mid west but I will be moving there is late AUG 2009.
No. It's not snow and ice. The storm system that produced this tornado had a strong hail core. What you're seeing on the ground is large amounts of hail.
it was all the hail i thought it was snow too you not alone and being in those sucker are like ... i dont know what i coul compare it to but its scary
you are right , you should have seen Parker CO , where a tornado started the other day , it looked like it snowed 4 in but it was all hail in the matter of about 5 mins
I've been thinking that actually. Said something to warn them. They know what they're doing but half the time that's the problem. To confident. More curiosity. Hope they don't loose perspective. Coroner would never release it either, and I wouldn't want to watch. Too sad!! (We love em for what they bring and the fascination they willingly share)
Well, if the video is any indication, gustnadoes appear to rotate much more slowly than tornadoes. Slower wind speeds mean less damage (if any) caused.
I remember this day! Early in the day it was sunny and then around six or seven the skys started to get dark and then the tornado alarms went off. Nobody was hurt though
ive always wondered....has there ever been a snow white tornado?
there has been thunder heard with snow on the ground, so ive always wondered if it has gone as far as a twister twirling on the ground with snow as well. that would be unreal!! keep up the videos!
ugh, i was hit in the head again with Nickle Sized hail...lol this time i was walking in the rain to the store and omg...it just came out of nowhere xD
Not sure what is scarier...the tornado or meeting that tractor trailor at the beginning of the video.

How's a land spout different from a regular tornado?
3333sweetie 1 year ago
@3333sweetie what the fuck is a land spout? i thought there was just water spouts
OptimusPrime571 11 months ago
@OptimusPrime571 tornado over land. There are MANY different types of tornadoes. Also, heard of dust devils?
3333sweetie 11 months ago
was that a spin off from the tornado or a dust devil from all the winds...?

There were landspouts and gustnadoes, which typically are weak.
