  • @ConSmith1807 and @Tooopper You two win a internet!

  • Few people make disparaging remarks… BLAME ALL OF CHRISTIANITY!!!!

  • @RandomJ0e I, for one, don't believe in the idea of blaming all of Christianity for people like the ones mentioned in this video. I have friends of many different beliefs that are well-mannered people, the complete opposite of those mentioned. The ones that do make death threats and the like are where the issues come from, not to mention those on any other side that do the same. I don't believe in a condemnation of an entire group, just the ones who behave in this manner

  • @ConSmith1807 I agree. I have met many good mannered people who are religious. People who are actually very nice and accepting. Hell, I'm sure there are a few Christians who actually agree with the separation of Church and State. I don't hate Christianity or religion, I just hate intolerant jerks who believe they can outright disrespect and even harm other people who believe differently and justify their actions with "derp..mah relijun sed so."

  • @joshtube9 Well, FÜHRER means leader or guide in German I also said FÜHRER of prudence but I must agree with you I was probably to far.

  • fuck religious assholes, fuck 'em all......

  • love it

  • I have been around Christians my entire life. Not a single fucking one of them acts like a Christian.

  • @ITSbigwillystyle They are christians though and which means that christians are like that, probably in majority. Thus it seems as tho it has now become customary that this behavior is now christian behavior since the average christian does it which, in turn, means that they are acting christian (This is because any adjective is a comparison to the standard or average). Im being too literal though you are so correct in saying that these people are being terribly hypocritical.

  • @MattFrame I read the comment through msg. but I agree with you.

  • @NickzCB Yes, YouTube is American. But the First Amendment only applies to censorship by the American GOVERNMENT, not any companies that are in the U.S.

  • yes she did! There have been books and song written about her saying that. None of use will ever know what that girl really said some sites say its true others say its note. either way killing someone or threatening someone over religion is WRONG atheist and Christians are both at fault.

  • @RaWr13GiRlxxx go to wikipedia and type in her name: Cassie Bernall

  • @RaWr13GiRlxxx Read the entire third paragraph when you get to her wikipedia page - and go through the sources.

The only conversation to remotely resemble the one you think is real was with another girl; at another point. And she was not shot.

Read the third paragraph of her page on wikipedia; then sift through the sources at the bottom of the page.

The people closest to her at the time say it did not happen - while testimony contrary is from distance viewers and people who were not there

  • @RaWr13GiRlxxx It might be a lovely, if horrendously disgusting, christian story - to know that a girl refused to renounce her faith and was killed because of it. It may have inspired books and songs and all sorts of well-meaning junk.

But it did not happen that way.

That girl - and 12 others - died that day because of an unstable pair of children who masterminded a failed domestic terrorism attempt. And the victims won't ever come back.

To twist that to serve your own interests is horrid

  • @jaieet Thanks for busting this myth. Christians make shit up like this all the time. Every time there's a shooting somewhere, it seems like Christians will try to claim the perp was an atheist. It's a form of scapegoating, to make it seem like atheists commit more violence than Christians, when in fact there's no content to atheism. There's no doctrine, dogma or commandments to kill anyone, unlike Christianity and Islam. So it's impossible to link any murders to atheism.

  • @DandAinTac Not true this was the only time and no one knows if it really happend or not some say it did some say it didn't.

  • @jaieet And how do you know when some sites say yes and some say no? Where you there not I don't think so. So no one will know. The only reason I said anything was they seem to ignore the fact that not all Athiest are good people I get threats all the time from athiest becuase I'm christian and I also get threats from christians because I'm gay.

  • @RaWr13GiRlxxx "And how do you know when some sites say yes and some say no?"

Because official reports and final witness testimony lean towards the 'no'; while rumours are all that remain of the 'yes'.

If you don't know whether it happened or not, why on Earth would you say that it did? Why on *Earth* would you use an all but falisified story to justify using a school shooting to dehumanise a religious stance?

No excuse you can make is good enough. It really, really isn't.

  • @jaieet But the once's I'v read that say they are official too say yes she did. So thats why I said it I thought it was true but once again maybe it is maybe it isnt atleast I can admit when I'm wrong. My whole point is I'v been spit on literally by athiest. But I also have athiest friends who never bash me. I'v NEVER forced my beliefs on someone ever.

  • I dont know why people fight against religion. Just defend the secular constitution, as it refers to not making policy based on religion, and let people have their gods. The majority of humans will ALWAYS believe in God, and that's the way nature intended it. Those mental mechanisms play an important part in human destiny. A war against religion is a never ending war, that cannot be won. You only make your own life hellish when you try to take religious practice away from people...

  • Me too I admire her

  • Thats funny becuase these two athiest boys went up to a girl in a school not to far from me shot all the kids who admited to be christian

  • @RaWr13GiRlxxx What on earth is funny about children getting shot, you psycho?

  • @jaieet no I was saying its funny how they make christans look bad

  • @RaWr13GiRlxxx "Many rumors swirled regarding the causes of the rampage, including the possible targeting of Christians. One such rumor was that the shooters first asked Scott if she believed in God, then killed her after she answered affirmatively. The FBI later concluded that this interaction did not take place.[9]" - Wikipedia, with the source at the bottom of the page.

There is nothing funny about a high school massacre. How dare you attempt to twist such a horrible event to your own tastes?

  • @jaieet acctully Wrong girl Rachel Scott didn't but Cassie Bernall did.

  • @RaWr13GiRlxxx It is positively disgusting that you - or anyone, for that matter - could have the gall to manipulate the potential death of thousands - stunted only by false wiring - to propagate hate towards a group under the justification that you find *their* beliefs, or *their* approaches invalid.

And even if you did not no - you made *no* intent to dispute the claim. Someone used a girl's death - one among thirteen - to discredit a religious position, and you were so eager to believe it.

  • @jaieet Cassie Bernall said yes when the boys asked her and there were people to confirm this that were there. And this video is pushing hate towards Christians so your statement is invalid.

  • @RaWr13GiRlxxx"Cassie Bernall said yes when the boys asked her and there were people to confirm this that were there."

According to witness testimony, FBI statements, and released information surrounding the attempted domestic terror attack, you are wrong. According to the girl who was next to Cassie when she was shot underneath that table by 1(ONE)student in the library, you are wrong. According to the finalised statements, Rawrgirl, You.Are.Wrong.

And you don't care about your falsities.

  • @RaWr13GiRlxxx Even if they are Christian. :P

  • @RaWr13GiRlxxx "two athiest boys went up to a girl" Please provide evidence for this--a link to a reputable source.

  • @DandAinTac Cassie Bernall was her name look its up yourself.

  • Im starting to like this douche, sociophatic guy.

  • The first amendment (the "free exercise of religion" clause) does not prohibit endorsement of religion. It says nothing about freedom from religion -- it only guarantees citizens the freedom to exercise religion.

  • @1GodOnlyOne The top comment displays the exact statement in the first amendment. Everyone can look it up with a google search at any time. Do you really think lying (or, if you don't know yourself, and are just spreading misinformation) with such an easy source of information to validify the exact clause is going to help your argument? =P

  • @1GodOnlyOne I prohibits government endorsement of religion. It's only logical. How is having someone else's religion forced on you by the government and its laws the freedom to choose and exercise your own religion? To have freedom of religion we also need freedom from religion.

  • Well the students themselves should have the right to put up any non-offensive banners if they want in their school whether its advertising a religion or political view or whetever.. But if it was the school/teachers who put it up, then yeah it doesn't belong.

  • Christianity has kept us back in Medical and Technological advancements for 2000 years. Christianity created evil. Before those fuck niggas? There was no evil. Just Good and Bad. Right and Wrong. And Christianity's latest evil? Radical Christians are halting the research of brain stem research over in Europe. Amsterdam I believe it was. Those fairy tale believing motherfuckers are stopping the study of what would save me from a life of misery. So as far as I'm concerned? FUCK CHRISTIANS

  • Not to mention that their bullshit man made god is the greatest evil of all time. and Christians are the BIGGEST hypocrites of all time. As well as MANY other bad things

  • god rewards the brave who stand up for whats right this brave student has increased her odds significantly even more so for not seeking any reward from god in the afterlife as she doesn't believe in it the students who made these death threats and false predictions are cowards you can figure out the rest

also I'm not saying there is a god i just believe in one but not that god created the universe

  • Imagine if Atheists gave death threats to religious people? I guarantee you that it would be on the news every day.

  • Ana K early on says, "she (Jessica A) is an atheist, she doesn't UNDERSTAND why a public school would have a religious banner up." It's not a matter of not understanding, simply b/c there is nothing to "understand." The school was is in the wrong for putting up the banner in the first place since it shouldn't have been there to begin with. Jessica is merely upholding the constitutional principle of separation of church and state, whatever her true motivations, the constitution was on her side.

  • If she received any death threats (which I seriously doubt), but if she did, then they came from believers in atheist Dogma.

All of God's revealed scriptures teach that killing and violence are wrong.

  • @1GodOnlyOne - No they don't. The bible talks about killing people all the time. It also supports slavery. You need to read you stupid bronze age book before talking nonsense. You WISH the bible was a peaceful book is what you are saying.

  • @1GodOnlyOne No such thing as an atheist dogma because that's the whole damn point that they don't follow one dipshit. In the bible god sends rabid bears to tear children into little pieces. so much for that shit. They didn't believe in an atheist dogma they believed in your christian bible.

  • I have been threatened before. I tell them, beat me all you want, your religion wont become any more real

  • Good Christians don't wish for ANYONE to go to hell. Those kids probably don't even read the bible and they wanna gang up on an atheist? She was more religious to her believe than they were. And yes, I'm a christian :D

  • @benjyy121 then there's not many "good christians" in the world.

  • @assmatronix Yeah you're right.

  • @assmatronix

There are as many "good" christians as there are "good" atheists, "good" muslims, or "good" hindus. In almost all cases, it's the ones you never hear about that are the "good" ones.

  • what a cunt... live with the banner

  • @lSeKToRl

If she recieved death threats over getting a Christian banner taken down, what do you think the reaction would have been if she had instead put up an atheism banner? What would happen if a Scientologist student had put up a Scientology banner? What would be the reaction if a Wiccan student put up a Wiccan banner?

I'm guessing there would be vandalism, theft, and/or destruction of the banner, and assault on the students that put them up (that's what has happened in the past).

  • @Atriviality You are a liar.

  • @1GodOnlyOne

    "You are a liar."

    - What did I lie about?

  • @1GodOnlyOne and you are a most ignorant fuck nigga kid

  • I've had Christians send me hate mail. I've had Christians call me and start thretning me.

But I have never seen a Christian do these things when they are standing face to face with me.

  • FUCK CHRISTIANS ! Come get me.

  • there is no such thing as god, and religion has ruined mankind all throughout history, get over it and grow up

  • @jaymc771 May the force be with you.

  • @jaymc771 so you're such a great authority on the non-existence of God? You're no better than religious people that push their beliefs on people. Fuck you.

  • @MrSplatterPlatter Saw your comment MrSplatter i agree 100% just thought i'd let ya know! :P

  • @MetalHead1664 lol, thanks alot dude :)

  • I can see the christians now; ALLAH AKBAR! shit wait, erm, BURN IN HELL! YEAH!!1111

  • What happened to love and tolerance?

  • @mrtheshatteredsun Although I do agree that the death threats are outrageous and awful, because as Christians we ought to show love and compassion.. although is Jessica really showing love by attacking a banner and having it taken down? Case in point, but no this does not justify the death threats, just an observation.

  • The prayer in question ~ Our Heavenly Father. Grant us each day the desire to do our best. To grow mentally and morally as well as physically. To be kind and helpful to our classmates and teachers. To be honest with ourselves as well as with others. Help us to be good sports and smile when we lose as well as when we win. Teach us the value of true friendship. Help us always to conduct ourselves so as to bring credit to Cranston High School West. Amen. ~School Prayer, Cranston High School West
  • hey christians ever heard of the first amendent yea fuck u

  • Why should we even be surprised? We are talking about irrational people who worship and praise a character that makes Hitler look like a girl scout.

  • The fact is that the banner violated the constitution. No one gave a fuck about that because they were predominantly religious. So just because she was 1.) athiest adn 2.) realised that it was in fact unconstitutional... she is evil? Morals and the notion of "good" and "bad" is all purely subjective. opinion. Why does that make her bad.

  • America is going downhill because they still give a damn about religion is public. the day when nobody gives a shit about even a prayer banner up in a school is the day when america becomes a great nation once again. atheism, religion..who the fuck cares? we are all humans with different views. the world will be fucking boring if every single man have the same view. arguments because of different views is way better than what I just said.

  • @NickzCB Let me see if I can spell it out for you - education is publicly funded (taxes), if a school presents a message promoting a particular religious view (Christian), it implies that that particular ideology is the one to follow (to the exclusion of others). It suggests an endorsement, one prohibited by the 1st amendment: "Congress shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion,or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...", it's freedom FROM AND freedom OF religion.

  • Comment removed

  • @NickzCB Having read the text of the banner, I agree that it doesn't indicate any particular deity - however, it suggests that the only way one could manage to be moral, kind, helpful, honest, magnanimous, valuing of friendship, and capable of conducting oneself in a way that could bring honor to their school is through faith in some sort of "higher power", precluding the notion that someone lacking such faith might be just as capable of exhibiting such virtues.

    Violates 1st amendment.

  • @steveb0503 @steveb0503 Of course anything that suggests 'faith' is unconstitutional... Glad I moved to Canada, canadians doesn't give a damn about such things. Prayer band over a public school? Not many here but nobody gives a damn about them. Americans care about stupid things but not about their fucked up government.

Oh and Youtube is public right? So why not go and complain about other religious americans posting up their videos here. It's against the 1st amendment.

  • @NickzCB This is but one example of how "fucked up" things are in our government, but it's still wrong.

BTW - YouTube isn't publicly funded - so, no conflict of interest.

  • @AstoriaRego and I wonder why your comment's been flagged as spam. basically cuz you're stupid to even know that Youtube's owned by Google which is an american company which first started out in an american university. Pure american.

  • @NickzCB Actually, we do remove blatantly religious materials (promoted by the school, not stuff brought in by the students) from public schools. It's just that we don't freak out about it. We go "Oh yeah, we probably shouldn't have that" and just get on with our lives. We don't enter hyper-religious freakouts.

This doesn't apply to Catholic schools in Ontario, of course. But that ancient bit of leftover history is probably going to fall away soon, as well.

  • @GmanNetworks So true.

  • @steveb0503 sadly, many people think freedom of religion here means freedom of christianity. lolwut

  • @Pager1991 Basically...

  • @steveb0503 Advocating a worldview does not necessarily exclude others -- you are wrong.

The first amendment (the "free exercise of religion" clause) does not prohibit endorsement of religion. It says nothing about freedom from religion, you bald-faced liar -- it only guarantees citizens the freedom to exercise religion.

  • @1GodOnlyOne First of all, "...no law respecting an establishment of religion..." has a double-meaning; the ACT of establishing a religion (which is where the government-funded school went wrong), or regarding the church as an establishment or business (which the government does - and must do - all the time). Which one do you think the "founding fathers" meant?

And don't do yourself the disservice of buying into that "Original Intent" crap spouted by Barton and those he's duped.

  • lol raped for eternity.I love it.

  • 1:22 I don't think you can say that: I think a lot of people will actively say the opposite. It's rather condescending.

  • @AstoriaRego Pardon me Führer but I think your missing the point. Some chick complained about a banner that has the words “Our Almighty” and “Amen.” The banner didn't force anything upon anyone and had no religious value. Should we start banning books like Moby dick and 1984 because they say “God” Führer? The chick was being a prude and complaining to get attention. For that the everyone will have to suffer budget cuts to pay the legal fees.

  • @RandomJ0e You're*

  • @RandomJ0e Books can say what they want because they are not government speech. A school is government property, and thus is prohibited from endorsing religion. I don't know why this distinction between private and government behavior is so confusing for you.

It is odd that you are so threatened by someone who actually knows the law that you need to invoke Godwin's law. I am not imposing my view, just using my doctorate to correct misconceptions about how the law works.

  • @RandomJ0e I won't call you names. But calling someone Fuhrer when they disagree with you is entirely inappropriate. What this student did was have a banner taken down. And you disagree with that - I understand.

However, the Fuhrer (by which I assume you mean Hitler) didn't just make life uncomfortable for people at school. He turned millions of people into tons of rotting meat. To imply that the posters who support the student are at that level is grossly unfair.

  • Good for her! She won a battle against christians as I hope that she will influence others to do the same! The ACLU should stand up for all athiests and use the law against all religions and churches. Make God illegal! No more Christian holidays, including Christmas as we should all be working on that day. It is the fault of many Christians for allowing such laws to be enforced and also being so lazy as they got what they ask for! Such laws should never got passed from the beginning!

  • @AstoriaRego Would that please you Almighty Führer of prudence?

  • Comment removed

  • @AstoriaRego The “relevance” is it was student not made by the school/government so it is NOT endorsed by them. The Constitution states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Since it was student made and was not a hate speech(voiding your “illegal banner” tirade.) The school is prohibiting students from expressing their religion. The age of the sign give is it historical value you making it a part of the schools history.

  • @RandomJ0e What law school did you go to? You should really get your money back.

First Amendment law prohibits displaying the banner on school property, no matter who made it. And it is illegal because it violates the first amendment. Something doesn't have to be hate speech to be illegal. I don't even know where you came up with that one.

And "historical value" has ZERO relevance in first amendment law.

  • @RandomJ0e "The school is prohibiting students from expressing their religion." No, they are not. Expressing their religion in no way requires hanging a banner on government property. They are still free to attend church, discuss their views with their classmates, and otherwise practice their faith. Their rights are in no way being curtailed. This is basic Con Law 101.

  • Why are students so angry? Because they're in school.

  • funny how these turkish twats go on about christians and mock jesus, but dont mock muslims or muhammad. yeah... really impartial.

  • I'm not someone who supports for Pray in School but this is bull. First the banner started with “ Our Heavenly father” and ended with “Amen” the rest was promoting education. The banner was STUDENT-MADE and has almost been there since it's founding. ONE PERSON made fun of her ONLINE and the suit cost the School $200,000 plus dollars. Here's the kicker she gloated on twitter when she won and has already received $44,000 in from supporters. Poor poor thing.

  • @RandomJ0e I'm confused. What is the relevance of the fact that it was student made or how long it had been there? Neither have any effect on how illegal the banner was. There's no grandfather clause for impermissible government endorsement of religious speech.

It is a shame the suit cost the school so much. I blame the school officials who allowed the illegal banner to remain up, not the student who stood up for her Constitutional rights.

  • @wtd15 Good sir for your bravery and logic in the online battlefield I award you an internet.

  • People who call themselves Christian, then threaten ANYONE especially a child are NOT "Christian." They are only angry, scared little people who use the term "Christian" as their lame justification to promote their ignorant narrow minded views of the world. They'll quote to OT in denial of the NT and vise versa whenever it's hypocritically convenient.

As they said above, "What would Jesus do?"

  • Freedom of speech removed!

  • @tabbyjones78 Um, no. Those students and teachers can still believe in and say what was on the banner and pretty much everything else they want to. Freedom of speech does NOT include the right to have government entities endorse that speech.

  • The public school I attended started pushing Christian beliefs and values into their everyday activities, in my last couple years of attendance. They never did anything like that before. It was just implemented randomly at the start of my Junior year. It didn't affect any of us students, either. I have no idea why the school did it, but they've been mentioning 'morals' ever since.

  • Public school = No religioius place!

So dumb as christians if you want to have a banner with your savior (who is dead for about 2000 years) go to a catholic school! If you threaten an atheist, you'll get raped yourself bitch!

  • @WhAtStHeMaTtErMan So then... better never catch a Muslim praying in a school again eh? Nice line you painted there.

  • Sooooo many uneducated extremists who have NOOOOOO idea about the history of Christianity...YAWN!! "Christians this...and Christians that"... it's almost comical!!

  • @bp444701 Huh...are you saying that you actually insist that others have to play with your toys too? I'm a Christian...and I do NOT insist that the rest of the world plays it my way. Textra1 did NOT have a good point...it is a far-fetched, over-the-top, generalisation!!

  • Notice TYT left out the FACT that the banner has been hanging in the school since 1963. Fuckin' dumbass Muslims.....tell the full fuckin' story, just once.

  • @JimboVids Why is it relevant that it's been hanging in the school since '63?

  • @tdsrockz

You know - this 2012 election candidates, make me as an atheist, make me cringe. Especially Santorum and Gingrich. With Santorum's interview quoting JFK's "I believe that the seperation between church and state should be absolute." and saying that it makes him throw up. He believes that religion - particularly his own catholic views should be incorporated in school. And Gingrich saying that a man who's atheist is weak, and "delusional" if he thinks he has capability of presidency.

  • @DiStUrBeDHuSk3r All I can say to that is: agreed. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do if one of these people, particularly Santorum and Gingrich, win the election. I'm not a big fan of Obama (never a fan of any politician, probably never will be), but these two guys frighten me the most with their militant objectives.

  • @JimboVids Ahahaha, what? What difference does it make how long it's been up?

  • @JimboVids The FACT that it's been hanging there for so long only makes it worse. If it alienates anyone who isn't a Christian, it needs to be taken down. Fuckin' dumbass Jimbo (notice I called YOU the dumbass, not all Christians) ...open up your fuckin' mind, just once.

  • I just wanted to inform everyone, the Cranston School Committee voted to appeal the decision to take the banner down. They ended up voting no because of a lack of money to pay for lawyers. According to my priest at my church, the banner is most likely going to be donated to the church and it will be hung up there. This is a good decision, considering if it was not donated it would just sit the in the basement of Cranston West.

  • @bp444701 Jesus isn't real...she's actually has a brain unlike you..

  • It's not rape if you yell surprise! It's just surprise sex. Either you like surprises, or you don't.

  • YAWN!!! There goes the media AGAIN...spinning stories about vengeful Christians...nothing but the facts??? All talk and no responsibility...and the public take it all in like "it must be true"..."*gasp*..."typical Christians" etc... It's worse than flies buzzing around a fresh pile of S%#T!!

  • @feebeedee im sorry are you implying this never happened?

  • @EpicurusIVXX ...I'm sorry - are you implying that everything the media reports is true?

  • @feebeedee no i m only referring to this particular news story. i asked if you are implying that this never happened....i didnt ask you anything about all media reports.

so again, are you implying this never happened?

  • @EpicurusIVXX Read my first statement again.....carefully this time..."There goes the media AGAIN...spinning stories about vengeful Christians...." Nothing in there to suggest I was questioning whether the actual event happened or not...hmmm.

  • @feebeedee you were saying the media was again spinning stories about vengeful christians. so you are insinuating either that the event didnt happen (the woman getting death threats) or that they twisted the story. if you think either of those i would ask why you believe that is so? why didnt you notice that christians were once again trying to push their religion into the public sphere?

  • @EpicurusIVXX Simple questions deserve a simple answer: firstly, Christians (as in CHRISTIANS - NOT the "I'm-all-good-on-a-Sunday type) living out their faith according to the teaching of Jesus Christ...DON'T act vengefully (you do understand, I hope, that I am not saying that any of these events didn't happen). Secondly, I guess as a Christian, I notice that my beliefs being pushed into the public arena, are no more obvious than your beliefs been driven with the same passion.

  • @EpicurusIVXX and thirdly...the media do blow things out of proportion regarding Christians...as in they have the ability to plant in peoples minds that ALL Christians are tarred with the same brush. Let's just differ on these things, and move on huh... x

  • @feebeedee the problem is no two people will agree 100% on any religion including christianity and christs teachings. it is open to interpretation. that is the problem with using a 2000 year old man as your guidance. i say use reason, and logic rather than magic and superstition.

  • May you all be eternally raped in the depths of hell! And in the depths of you know what.

  • Gator0713...I can believe you are of low iq.

  • Talk about misrepresentation. The constitution has been usurpted by Zionist propaganda idiots who want to take God out of the American base for the constitution that all rights are inalienable endowed to us by a creator. She just helped the communist startgists who want to distroy our constitution. Watch the movie "slavery by consent".

  • @truthseeker439 .....wow i felt my iq drop halfway through reading whatever the hell that was

  • @truthseeker439 lol you are nuts.

  • If people just kept their religion to themselves, atheists could pack up their tents and go home. The trouble is that the religious wont just keep it to themselves. As the late Christopher Hitchens put, not content with playing with their own toys at home, the religious want to insist that we have to play with their toys too.

  • Most people in the states are totally brainwashed, and Christians are most people. What concerns me are the preachers who pray for armeggedon and want all the atheists to die. That is extremist terrorism and should be treated no differently to the people who say all infidels should die. If the US kept to its own standards, Pat Robinson would be in Guantanamo Bay right now.

  • @MrDoobious I think you mean Pat Robertson. He didn't order anybody to harm anyone else. He just says one cruel, sick, insensitive thing after another. I don't think we could we could convict him of fraud, because it seems he believes what he is selling. I do believe there are grounds to having him commited to an insane assylum though.

  • I kind of figured it was. Most religious organizations in America know better than to try to advertise in public schools (yes, I'm equating a prayer banner to an advertisement ). The Christians tend to think that America and Christianity are one and the same.

  • Christianity is what Christians do, not what they want to say they do. Christians have a very long and horrific history of sending death threats, and following through on them. Of course, there are Christians who would not send death threats. But, when they sit by quietly, failing to stand firmly and vocally against those who spread hate and bigotry in the name of Christianity, they have no more claim to "Christian" than the bigots who dominate and lead in the name of Christianity.

  • By doing what she did, Jessice probably lost a lot of support from friends at her school, but gained thousands more from all over the world.

  • @SuperGZK

Saying That is christianity is like saying the left wing is USSR gulags.

  • You're wrong. Sending death threats is very Christian.

  • @SuperGZK Only if Jesus is Satan.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think sending death threats is very Christian.

  • Christians: If you truly followed Jesus you wouldn't be so hateful to other people. If you followed the example he set and not the example set by controlling tyrants for centuries the world would be a much better place. Or if you don't want to follow Jesus' example, don't act like you do when you don't.

Atheists: Stop looking down on Christians and being dicks to them. Yes they do the same to you but when you do it back it doesn't make you look enlightened, it just makes you look like dicks.

  • @wtd15 you're confused, they're the ones who are taught to turn the other cheek, not us

  • @wtd15 Thank you for being the only smart one here...

  • @wtd15 Death threats from fellow students? The pilgrims were dicks, but most who came after were fleeing centuries of rape, torture and murder in the name of religion. Now conservative christians want to revive the violent fanaticism. I don't go around being a dick to believers, nor do I tell children about Santa, but when this shit happens, I become a militant atheist. I don't care what I look like, I'm sick of tolerating these intolerant hypocrites.

  • @wtd15 Generally we're not being dicks, we're just expressing our opinion, and people don't like being scared by the thought they might be wrong...
