heres something to try. find a room with a window, and a clear sky at night and have all the lights off in the room. if you sit in the middle of the room and look outside you see stars, but if you do it again with lights on in the room, you wont see any.

If we did land on the moon why had no one else gone? First off the suits could not deal with the rampant temperature changes. In the sun it's +100c in the shade -130c. The suits weren't magical. They were made of layers of aluminum and silicon. The rapid shrink and expansion would be far to great to keep a seal. Think expansion joint on a bridge. How did they tolerate the radiation? Any return to the moon will be part of a wider strategy(eg on the way to mars).The LRO and Japanese JAXA moon probes have both recently taken images of the apollo landing sites.They`re on utube under "ultra close up apollo 11".It may well be either China or even a private company that next returns people to the moon.

And thousands of Astronomers can't keep secrets. And if countries that dislike the U.S. have sent satellites to the Moon and found the landing sites and the equipment on the surface why would they publish these findings? Interesting how people still don't believe in their own achievements but then again you probably weren't around at the time to actually witness these events. But that's history for you. But then again I don't believe Columbus found N.America, it was the dude in the crows nest.

Baron! Simple answer, NO ATMOSPHERE, Bright Sun light reduces the aperture of the camera lens to only focus on what is in the immediate foreground. Laser reflective components where placed and calibrated by the astronauts so that scientists could research the movement of the Moon. And that program is still active today. Amateur astronomers followed the space craft via telescopes. Other countries that hate the U.S. have also proven that the U.S. actually landed on the moon via their equipment.

@BaronVonLichtenstein The cameras were setup for daylight exposure, as it was lunar sunrise at the time of moonwalks. set your camera up for day time exposure, then use the same settings to try and photograph stars. you'll fail :)

Vmartin70EZ, I normally don't reply to people who have to stoop to personal abuse to try and get their point across but in your case I'll make an exception, look at the opening photo, the side of the LEM he is descending from should be in shadow, am I right?, and the surface only gives off 7% reflection, the same as tarmac, how is this possible? If by any chance you come up with a plausible answer there is still loads more to go at.

Only 200 metres away and the objects are tiny dots? I don't think so. As a National-level rifle and pistol competitive shooter, I am very familar with how things look at 200, 300 and 500 yards. You can can very easily distinguish and recognize an individuals face (about the size of a pie plate) at 200 yards. So these pictures of tiny objects taken from 200 metres is crap, to put it bluntly.

The LRO photographed the lunar surface from an altitude of 30-70 kilometres.

As pointed out, I made a fundamental mistake in my critism of the appearance of objects in the video.
As a former member of the USMC, I have used various optical equipment with markings to indicate the distance BETWEEN objects versus distance TO objects.
I should have recognized the "200 m" in the video as a "legend" or "scale", as on a map, and not a distance to the objects pictured.
My apologies if my post misled anyone.

Even grains of sand lights up visibly when entering the atmosphere at high speed. How many hit the ISS or other spacecraft? You are totally overestimating the risk for meteorite hits.

i've always wondered who stayed behind and perfectly filmed them blasting off and following the craft till about 70 degrees skyward. not sayin they did or didnt go - but when the ground cameras had a hard time framing the launch - how did the moon cam doit? btw incase someone says the camera up there was automated to track - that tech didnt exist or the ground crew wouldnt have used those big ride-on cameras to follow it up.

Can you clarify the truth for even "some" of the anomalies? The guy who designed and built the camera that was"taken to the moon" was at a loss to explain the anomalies in the photos.
When the guy doing a documentary interviewed one "astronot" about the Van-Alens belt, the astronot raved about how they were briefed extensively on it and etc. Then another astronot didn't even know what it was. Even leaving all the anomalies aside, that was enough for me.

The guy who designed and built the camera was never a cab driver. I'm not sure what his educational qualifications are but he is obviously highly skilled in the field of photography.
Confronted with some of the pictures he said "He (the astronot) is obviously standing in a spotlight." Then he realized what the interviewer was getting at and said "Why is that? I"m not sure you will have to ask NASA."

@umhalil James Van Allen himself went on record repeatedly to refute the hoax theory that the VA belts would be deadly to apollo.The evidence is on the clavius site.I would expect Van Allen to have the correct knowledge regarding the belts after whom they were named

If we did land on the moon why had no one else gone? First off the suits could not deal with the rampant temperature changes. In the sun it's +100c in the shade -130c. The suits weren't magical. They were made of layers of aluminum and silicon. The rapid shrink and expansion would be far to great to keep a seal. Think expansion joint on a bridge. How did they tolerate the radiation? The moon doesn't have a layer protective atmosphere. We needed to show the USSR that we were numero uno.

It would have been a huge PR win for the soviets and a massive blow to the US.The USSR had the means and motive to expose a hoax.Is it feasible that they simply allowed their rivals to falsely claim the glory of a moon landing if they knew it was a fake? James Van Allen himself went on record many times to refute the hoax theory that the Van Allen belts would be radioactively deadly to apollo

@sheeplrblind No one else has gone because space travel is still a hugely expensive and dangerous business.The purpose of apollo was simply to reach the moon. Any return to the moon will be part of a wider strategy(eg on the way to mars).The LRO and Japanese JAXA moon probes have both recently taken images of the apollo landing sites.They`re on utube under "ultra close up apollo 11".It may well be either China or even a private company that next returns people to the moon.

WE DID TRAVEL TO, AND LAND ON THE BLOODY MOON!...but(t) someone failed to load the camera(s) with film stock, so we had to re-shoot the event on a sound stage. So, BOTH sides are correct.
