  • this is awesome how long did it take you to make it?

  • Looks a bit gay

  • cool...

  • A.C.E!

  • Some really nice animation in there man well done

  • Can i do the same thing with Blender?

  • LOL nice!

  • Simsons movei ddddddddddddduuuuuuuu

  • Best part of the movie. well done, how long did this take

  • @iharlery Three weeks, more or less, with on and off working.

  • how long did it take you to create this?

  • @DeadlyNightShade60 Three weeks, more or less, with on and off working.

  • Hahahaha so funny xD

  • what software :P

  • @KalissaFluffy1 3ds Max 2011

  • @Fuzhark >:O

  • Really nice! Did you make the models yourself?

  • @impishrazor No, the rig is made some guy named Peter Starostin. But the room and all animations are made by me.

  • @Fuzhark Oh yeah, guess I should have read the description before asking.. Pretty nice anyways! I'm still learning how to use 3DS Max.

  • best animation on youtube!

  • @MrSmoofist Overstatement if you ask me, but I thank you anyway. :P

  • lol

  • WOW, your movement fantastic, and the shaders and lighting are better than anything I've ever done, lol. More practice for me I suppose, good work!

  • @Tjweber88 Thanks, hearing you say that means a lot to me. The shaders and lightning is just standard, basic V-ray lights really, so I can't say I worked hard to set that up. :P I think it's a lot easier to get good renders with V-ray than anything else.

  • Make more..

  • <3 this part!

  • press and hold 5 its glitched out chainsaw

  • very very smooth animation lighting voice sync and specially face expression its hilarious

  • Its brilliant. What program you use maya or max?

  • @3iisU 3ds max

  • the arms need to move quicker if possible, just for more effect

  • @PhoenixSora9aOs3 I agree. Especially at the end when they come back in, but when I made this my deadline was moving in pretty fast, so I just copy pasted the first animations for the arms to the end. :P

  • @Fuzhark i meant mostley on the end but even without that so is this still awsome

  • hahaha, this is epic, Good job!

  • how did you anime the eyelid?

  • @FlashGamesNemesis

You have to select those square boxes under the R and L in the face control panel. After selecting them you can animate the eyes in the modify panel.

  • @Fuzhark oow...can you make a tutorial...im a beginner :S

  • wow this is really good. a lot of expression

  • Funny and cute.

  • Top notch! What school are you taking classes through? And also could you estimate the amount of time it took to learn the software? (currently I'm learning Maya on my own).

  • @TheBandwagonman

I went at the "Noroff Institute" in Oslo, Norway. This was from my second year. But most of this is selflearned really. There is a lot of selfdependant working. The first year is mostly dedicated to learning and getting used to the programs, while the second was more about creating creative stuff and selflearning. You learn the basics pretty fast really, but I still got a lot to learn. I guess animation is what I'm best at.

  • LOVE IT :D

  • keep pressing 6 OMG RUN GRANDPAS GOT A CHAINSAW!!!!!

  • HAHAHA thats awesome

  • AHAHAHAH

  • if this is 3ds max where did you get these tutorial kits?

i need to badly work on my animation skills to this point.

modeling alone wont suffice for me, i need to work like you are.

mind helping a fellow autodesk user out?

  • @UtubeH8tr Do you mean the rig? I got it through the school servers last year, but it's made by some guy named Peter Starostin. I guess you can download it through his site. Just google his name and you'll probably find it.

Just remember to give credit to him if you ever make something with it.

  • i do really like this video

    its funny

  • @Samuelli22 No, I didn't. :D But thanks I guess.

  • wats this program called?

  • @zeldaslinksganonsomy '3ds Max' by Autodesk

  • nice animation well done =)

  • did you do this on your own?

  • @Dreadios Well the voices are from simpsons, and the character is a pre-rigged model downloaded from school (which we had to use), but the animation and everything else was done by me.

  • And someone make this into a ringtone

  • Lol how did you make this

  • No mater the way i see this it funny as hell

  • negative points for using a pre-rigged model, but extra positive points for a nice, fluid animation.

    you did great!

I would exaggerate his "uh-oh" animation, by having him bounce backward a lot more, but other than that, you nailed it.

my only question: why did you render with v-ray? just curious.

;) keep up the awesome work, bud

  • @YakuzaJoe88 Guess I forgot to state that. It was a requirement given by our school to to use that rig in this assignment. That said, I'm glad I didn't have to use one of my own rigs, since that probably wouldn't be nearly as good. :D

I used V-ray simply because I had just learned to use it, and I found it easier and faster to work and render with than Mental Ray.

    Thanks for the feedback! :)

  • y is he naked?

  • @mandamoore4 I don't know. I prefer to see him as as sort of wooden manikin people use as posing reference. ;) I didn't create him.

  • How did u get many of the same rig into the scene?

It wont let me merge the rig and im really stumped for ideas

  • @3dDementor Odd. I had no problems merging several rigs into the scene as far as I remember. Having all those rigs in the scene could make the program crash a few times though, but other than that it worked ok. I remember I had some problems with the mouth animations though, because all the rigs would share "Homer's" face animations, but I don't remember how I fixed that.

  • @Fuzhark Oh, well thanks anyway. Keep up the good animations!

  • How did you manage to get more than one rig happening at once?

Ive tried to merge on file to the other but it keeps screwing up

Any help would be brilliant :)

  • GETTING HIERD TO MAKE A GAME IN 3 2 1

  • @bpomatto Making a game would be a dream come true!

  • Lol. Very nice acting. :D

  • Amazing!!! Nice rigging

  • @Toqwert33 Thanks, but I didn't rig this guy. :) He's a so called "Max rig" that I just downloaded from school.

  • Legend! :D

  • epic unibrow

  • (why did i say that?)

  • COOL!

  • that was so cool

  • What program did you use?

  • @lb40713 I used 3ds Max software, with V-ray render for this.

  • wow very nice dude but the hands at the end didnt seem so grabby

  • @Bluntmage25 Hehe, thanks. Actually when those hands come back in at the end it's pretty much just the same animation as at the start, really. Sort of cheating, but I was running out of time on the assignment. :p

Personally, looking at it now, I see quite a few things that could use an improvement.

  • This is awesome, really well made :D also Homer's voice seems to go well with a slim guy.

  • Nice

  • Not bad for a 3D animation! :D That scene was epic.

  • @SegaMario Hey, thanks. :) I'm overall pleased my self, but I wish I had rendered it in better quality.
