i don't really like the way fabio leone sing on the last album as the last years ( a bit black metal) i dont think it's the best way to be more famous or interesting...

I was a big fan of rhapsody, but this it's just recooked! I'm sorry for them, they can't evoluate and promise for a certain death! what a shame! remember enchanted land!

@BER2ERKER Tom Hess is an amazing guitarist! I met him a few weeks ago actually, He's a huge fan of Rhapsody of Fire, has been from the start of the band basically. I'm interested to see where the music will go now that he's the main guitarist, he is a musical genious, so it will most likely be some great stuff!

@BER2ERKER I know Tom hess, he is the reason I am actually a guitar virtuoso and has helped many times and I can honestly say that he is without a doubt one of the best guitarists that has ever been out there, he in fact is so dedicated, he seems to do nothing but music.

@Agony6Is6My6Name It isn't like I don't enjoy my favorite band. And I'm very glad that they got back together, it's just standardly when you end up seeing this kind of stuff it is somebody who has pirated the album and is uploading it to spite the music industry, which isn't cheap to run or be in.

I've always supported the band since I first found them. I've bought their albums and if their shows were anywhere near BC i'd go, but as it is I can't.

I'm eager to wait for the next album.

the first 3 times i heard this i liked it...after that i realised that Rhapsody fell victims of the music industry...and i thought that Rhapsody couldnt fall into that trap....i also realised that i will never again listen to flutes,harpsichords and epic choirs talking about valour,honour,and really cheesy things.we will never have another Emerald Sword or Gargoyles Angels of Darkness....im sad now

Rhapsody is really going in the wrong direction...I mean...I was Okay with the Frozen Tears of angels...especially "danza..." but it was too guitar oriented, I missed the symphony orchestra...and fabio's voice wasn't nearly as impressive. What I wouldn't give for what they were going with in Triumph or Agony, or dare I say my favourite album, SOEL2.

This isn't nearly as beautiful and well put together as the rest. I hope this isn't a harbinger of a disappointing album.

In continuation of my previous comment, I also hope the epic at the end of this album is VERY well put together. I mean, I wasn't particularly stunned by any stretch of the imagination by "The Frozen Tears of Angels," the song. "Gargoyles, angels of darkness" remains in my opinion the best and most powerful song they've ever made, and I pray and hope with all my might that this lives up to their already dazzlingly high standards. Don't change :(

Positive: As usual the Solo Interludes are amazing and they did go rather varied this time for such a short song, that suprised me a lot.

Negative: Besides the part that they're just trying too hard on going black metal in certaing songs. The Rythym Riffing is kinda boring and I'm growing tired of it. The Chorus is not brilliant. But not bad.

I'm curious about the rest of the songs. I'm sure they'll come up with something better than this.

Triumph or agony was a disaster, Frozen tears of angels was ok, Reign of terror is a really good one ( they shouldnt have stolen that title from Testament thou..) @HailAtheism Reign of Terror was a term invented for a period of time in history, not for a fucking Testament song, dumbass. Rhapsody of Fire didn't steal anything, especially considering there are tons of songs called Reign of Terror out there, not just those two.

@HailAtheism And Triumph or Agony was not a disaster. It was a wonderfully made album that gets a bad rep solely because there is not enough "metal" in it (which is a stupid fucking reason). Frozen Tears of Angels was an amateurish album that sounded more like their debut album than a band that has been around for almost two decades.

I don't like this as much as rhapsody's other stuff...I've been a loyal fan for years...and I'm not so sure that this is in the right direction. They still please me with the chorus, but the rest isn't as epic as their other albums. I really mean no offense, but I hope the entire album isn't like this. I want an EPIC epic at the end as well...you know, like a "gargoyles..." not a long normal song like "The Frozen Tears of Angels." I am skeptical.

@thefinalb0ss Same here. I'm afraid it's a new Dimensions we're going to hear :/ Freedom Call learned their lesson and recorded a new album in the vein of Crystal Empire/Eternity. I hope Rhapsody does that too after this new album which I think will be a disaster. But it's not only Rhapsody who is taking a step in the wrong direction. Power Quest, Thy Majestie, Dark Moor, Heavenly, Stratovarius and so on. I hope Iron Mask won't be the next band.

I agree wholeheartedly, I myself do not listen to Stratovarius or Heavenly, but I too have noticed the changes of PowerQuest and Thy Majestie, tragic really. It's depressing to see the once-strong identity of the bands and the sound that made them unique be changed for a more mainstream and typical sound. This song's not BAD, but it's not rhapsody. I think this, and also "Triumph..." being considered a disaster by many, has to do with their gaining popularity with Nuclear Blast.

@thefinalb0ss Just exactly what I also thought about Nuclear Blast. Weren't they a label for popular death bands during the 90's? Doesn't feel right for a symphonic power metal band like Rhapsody. And yes, Power Quest was amazing until Master Of Illusion which was a disaster. Same with Thy Majestie they make one of their most epic albums "Jeanne D'Arc" and then recorded a shitty album afterwards. Wtf happened!!??!! Legend Of The Shadowking is a good start for Freedom Call to reheal the damage.
