@ispeaktruthful Nice short comment. I guess it's not hard to keep your comments short when you are just making ad hominem attacks that have no basis in reality eh?
If you care to elaborate in your next reply you are going to have to type out more than a regurgitated soundbite. If not, feel free to post another one line ad hominem attack, in which case you will get the only response idiocy like yours deserves, none.
@bonfirejovi It's amazing how Tom claims to be at one time a Libertarian, then can regress into a liberal. Most people advance in age, he is an acception.
I agree with Paul, but I think this is gonna hurt him big time in the 1012 primaries. I think he just should have said nothing. But then he wouldnt be Ron Paul..
@TheProgressistViewer He is pro private property. I'm sure he thinks it is incredibly offensive, but will not yeild to government discrimination to individual rights. NewYork has the right to challenge the property use as it is not unconstitutional to have them build it some place else if the city decides that spot would better serve the community in a better way.
The Imam has the legal right to build a mosque/community center, just as the state of NewYork has the right to see that property is used in a way that best suits the communities need. It's dissapointing to see Ron Paul not acknowledge a property damaged by 911 as symbolic to those we are still at war with & discredit those who do see the symbolism. He is a true advocate for individual, & property rights so though I am disappointed I am not surprised.
@joe035 you should fear for your own rights if that muslim community center isn't built, you fail to see the symbolism of denying a constitutional right to your own people on illogical claims, the only people who'll gain anything from this ridiculous none-issue are extremists from both sides.
That community center will serve normal muslims and be a bridge to other communities, how the heck would that sully the memory of the dead of 911 who FYI included muslim americans. Wake the f up
@Defsolid The Imam has come out to say he will allow Jews and Christians an area for worship so maybe he is not entirely the asshole I originally thought he was. They have a right to build according to zoning and cannot be denied the right to build a church under the Constitution, but property location is not relevant to freedom of religion. The courts have already established this, so New York has the ability to argue if it feels the property serves the good of the community in another way.
@joe035 Maybe you also didn't know that that imam since 911 helped and is still helping the US government, he's in a way a traitor in the eyes of the extremists. Look friend i'm not the one living in a democracy but when anyone is playing on people's passions by blaming the -fill in the blank-, especially when the economy is in crisis, it starts looking like a very dangerous deja vu if you catch my drift.
@Defsolid He is traveling the middleeast allegedly advancing promuslim relations with the US. He is also pro shia, & does not view hezbollah as terrorists. We are a REPUBLIC not a democracy as the liberal media & democratic politicians here would like the world to believe. I call them as I see them & there are some true scoundrels benefitting from a once complacent population. Obama is a 1 term President as many senators will be finding the door come november.
@joe035 Your republic isn't serving its public for the time being. Unfortunately for the US of A Ron Paul is an exception not the rule. I believe that any president who wants to challenge the corporate puppeteers, should be ready to sacrifice his life because when you're addicted to power which IMHO is the most powerful of all drugs, you'll do anything to keep the euphoria going even if it means getting rid of presidents or crashing economies.
@Defsolid A once complacent population is becoming involved in government workings once again. Incumbant Republicans & Democrats are being retired as we are understanding it has taken members from both parties to act so incompetantly to bring us to the point we are now.
@joe035 can't agree more, but lets not forget that it'll always go back to how the majority of people are, you can't have wise public servant when the people only care about "pleasuring" themselves, the majority has to at least have an average political awareness to keep reminding politicians that they're the public's servants and not the other way around. Educating people is the hardest way but it sure is the real long term solution, political awareness has to become a tradition IMHO.
@Defsolid We are a constitutional republic where rule of the masses takes 2nd to rule of law. The liberals have done a good job of making people think we are a democracy first, but this is a perversion of the truth. The electoral college protects us from mob rule & the oath in which our represenatives sware to uphold to the constitution. The founders were wise in protecting the rights of individuals or we probably would have reverted to tyranical rule by now as there are so many ignorant sheeple
Only politician with the balls to always tell the truth. Will the US have to collapse before the mob looks to him. By then it may be too late. Wake up America!
I'm perturbed by the amount of controversy that gets publicized by the smallest things like steroids in baseball, gay marriage or this single mosque in NYC. The media is all over that yet they don't want to cover the millions of people who die in the middle east because we're there and the vast amount of our country's wealth thrown out the window by our federal reserve. We're going to wake up to find we're broke one day with a lot of angry people around the world wanting a piece of us.
I USED to be a Ron Paul supporter, but he lost me on this one. Turning a blind eye to evil will not make it go away, unfortunately. And the imam of the 9-11 Mosque is a scumbag, and everyone around him also. You are being played, they are using your tolerance against you, like they have been doing to the world for decades. The world is not all friendly. Some people really do want to kill you and want to eliminate the Western way of life. And others are enablers and useful idiots.
@CorrosionX3 you should definitely join a country with a theological basis. That way your country can deny any other religion. Let's say I'm a Catholic. I want the pope in total control of our country. What would you and others say? I can almost guarantee you are protestant. My point is, if you deny religious freedom to anyone in this country, your religion can be illegalized.<------PERIOD
I'm much more scared of the government than the islamic terrorist boogie-man. This issue is just a distraction pure and simple. There's still an oil leak in the Gulf, the economy is in a DEPRESSION, two official wars (regardless of what obama says) and a number of unofficial ones, etc. They're playing on an emotional issue in order to divide and conquer the public.
And besides 2 blocks away from Ground Zero is not at Ground Zero. What about the mosque that's 4 blocks away??
The problem is that Ron Paul just makes too much sense to ever be elected to a higher office. Ask anyone in favor of the "wars" what the current objectives are and you get one of three answers: they don't know, they parrot retarded horseshit, or they give you an overly complex answer that sounds good but is more akin to an explanation in a Star-Trek episode than anything in reality.
I'm guessing but, had it been crazy Christians who attacked on 9/11, I believe religion would have never been mentioned in any of this. Also please note how the crazy people flew right over the Vatican on their way to the WTC. this is no religious issue it is a financial attack on free markets.
@uturniaphobic Because there's no line in the Bible that commands Christians to kill unbelievers. We know some did, but they were doing it in spite of the Bible, not following its commands, like the Koran commands its followers to kill the infidels. Not all Muslims believe that, but there's the settling kind of Muslims and there's the conquering kind of Muslim.... it's a system of domination and intimidation. Look at Europe and no-go areas, Sharia law in effect against British law, etc.
@CorrosionX3 If this was a religious zealot attacking infidels then why not smash into the Vatican, much closer and many more Christians to kill there...this was an attack on finance. American finance.
@CorrosionX3 Deuteronomy 17:3 ...And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded...17:5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.
I AM A RON PAUL SUPPORTER. NOW, having said that,...I don't agree with him here.
I don't find any muslambs denouncing sharia law, or protesting the terrorist who kill in their names. I don't find this imam giving an interview, explaining all his peaceful programs for the community and cooperation with Christians to spread trust.
I find them condemning us for our emotions after a tragedy !..WHITH ALL THIS GUY IS CAUSING, HE WOULD HAPPILY MOVE LOCATION NOW!!!...IF HE WANTED TO LUV N PEACE !
R. Paul is a patriot of and supporter of the Constitution; always. Not just when it's convenient.
I'm condemning people because this is all rooted in Islamaphobia. And I guarantee everyone, including yourself, who is vehemently against it has no Muslim friends, nor do they ever interact with Muslim on anything resembling a regular basis.
This is how intolerance has constantly been portrayed throughout our history; irrational fear of the unknown
@Syphalis1 NO,...HE SAID the violence wasnt the way to go about spreading muslamb beliefs into America...including Sharia law...which he does support !
Dr. Paul, I disagree with you making the comparison between Timothy McVeigh and the Islamic Extremists who caused 9/11. McVeigh, although a Christian, did not do it in the name of Christianity. Islamic Extremists, however, did it in the name of Islam.
I agree with him on everything else though. Actually he opened eyes on this mosque fiasco.
Actually no where anywhere can you find proof that the 9/11 hijackers did what they did in the name of Islam. Osama Ben Johnson (Bin Laden's CIA name) provided countless reasons for the actions being committed and in the name of Islam was not one of them. People in this country (1) have a short attention span (2) they believe everything media tells them to (3) They don't pay attention to what their enemy says. You disagree with Dr. Paul qualifies you in one of the three reasons.
@shortfu BUT islamb is also their form of govt.,,so, its not legally protected under freedom of religion....do you want a politician who is muslamb, when his religion is rooted in sharia law and oppressing women, etc?.
@Syphalis1 SO, JUST SAY ABSOLUTE CRAP AND LIES AND DONT FACE THE TRUTH !..YOU, OPPRESS WOMEN, YOU STONE TO DEATH, YOU BOMB WOMEN AND CHILDREN ON PURPOSE ! YOU YOU YOU ! IM NOT CHRISTIAN,...BUT I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL ! YOU DONT ! ANOTHER FACT !
Which parts exactly am i lying and won't "Face the Truth".
Good and evil, first off, are all relative terms. Second, I am not debating that extremism, in any form, is not bad. I am merely pointing out that you are stereotyping 1.5 Billion (mostly peaceful) people because of:
A. The actions of .00001% of the Muslim population &
B. You seem to have no real understanding of the teachings of Muhammad. You are only spouting extremist talking points
I wish I understood why so many people think Ron Paul is looney. Every time I hear this guy he sounds perfectly normal. He has his philosophy. He talks about peace and prosperity. What's so looney about all this??
If it's too good to be true, chances are it is. Ron Paul is apart of the illuminati, free masons. Google about it, he does the mason handshakes, and secret innuendos right infront of our faces.
@JigglesJingle You are smoking crack. Ron does not belong to any of the secret societies. It is rumored Ron's father was a freemason, but never Ron himself. Also only less than 1 or 2% of freemasons understand and control the agenda so I highly doubt Ron's dad was one of the 2%. With as much fuss that the establishment makes over he and his son, it is safe to say Ron and Rand may be the best shot we have to restore the original intent of this nation before it collapses.
@residentzombie If you googled and actually researched.. you would understand that his wife is an admitted free mason from Velasco Order of the Eastern Star, a female free mason group. His 2 daughters are also free masons. Why do you jump to conclusions that he isn't when he is ?
@JigglesJingle Ok so everyone that belongs to freemasonry is a globalist elitest? lol You got to break away from this 100% agree with everything and 100% distrust everything mentality. Most freemasons have no idea what the true purpose of freemasonry is. Is it possible that Ron is controlled opposition? Yes, but he is the best chance we have. Everything this man has preached about for 30 years is against the New World Order and the agenda of the secret societies.
@residentzombie What about the agenda of Islam? He doesn't seem to talk about it, he looks like an appeaser. The ideology of Islam seeks to replace the US Constitution with Sharia Law, and he's not concerned about that at all?
yesterday A je-wish rabbi in isra-hell call for the "extermination" of pale-stinians ,the main media should cover it and all the crimes those zionist been doing nonstop for the past 62 plus years watch the reality azeera dot net
We need to be more tollerant, Ron have right, but WTC Mosque will be for the muslim world, as the Constantinopoli one after it conquest. We should not be hypocrit. They dont need to do a Mosque on WTC ruins that muslim terrorists teared down... but we can do a shared memorial involving moderate muslims against terrorism and extremism.
I'm pretty sure a lot of people know this....but let's focus on one thing at a time....Remember Ron Paul supports another and FULL investigation for 9/11 since Dick Fucking Cheney, Bush, and even the friendly and nice guy Obama closed off any investigations towards 9/11.
Cuz if we just do that all day we'll only end up depressed and useless. i've SEEN it happen with my own two eyes. yes, the world is fucked up, and if you sit down and think about all the wrongs committed against man kind every single day, and then add those up with similar situations of the past, you'll only end up very paranoid, very stagnant, and very sad. and at that point you're useless to yourself, those around you, and your fellow countrymen.
@TertiusOculusOris Don't let paranoia or fear get to you brother. Trust. We must fight these people tooth and nail. Don't forget there are alot of NRA members like me out there. If they want to put us in a camp, in America, hahahaha...it wont work out well for them.
@tstruss912 Exactly the reason you shouldn't believe what someone is a position such as Ron Paul says. That's my opinion at least. I won't lie though, these days I'm paranoid whether or not I've smoked a little bud.. :/ Peace!
@TertiusOculusOris Ya, I gotcha. It's good to question people in any position of power. But we don't need Ron Paul to lead us anyway. We can get banking reform on our own just by banding together and making some noise. LoL on the bud, I used to toke but I still have the tat on my shoulder. Legalize it!
@TertiusOculusOris i'm skeptical of EVERYONE. I just think Ron Paul says more things I agree with than anyone else I've heard in mainstream politics, but the second he shows a sign of deception i'll drop my 'faith' in him like i have anyone else involved in our system.
i think we're all paranoid, but ya know what? don't let it get to you. live life and be happy. enjoy yourself everyday cuz we never know when shit might REALLY get bad. can't spend every waking moment worrying about the world.
I don't believe in these Mid East wars, however I agree with you and disagree with Ron Paul on this one. He is just not paying close enough attention. He needs to broaden his scope beyond his understandings of our economic woes. Moderate Muslims can't control the extremes nor do they even try. Muslims are killing people all over the world, Christians seem to be their favorite targets. They kill those who leave Islam, and those who bring shame to their families. Ron Paul is weak here.
@RamsesReturns Fair enough and I respect your opinions. For all we know, you just might be right about what you speak of and are correct afterall. After thinking about it awhile, it does seem to be the case/accurate.
@TheJovanist Thom Hartmann and his liberal friends love it when Ron Paul takes positions like this. Thom knows when Ron takes a principled stand, he loses votes.
Ron Paul is the the most principled man in the US government, I don't agree with some of his ideas about deregulation considering the BP disaster and the financial collapse mainly due to risky unregulated derivative trading.
However, Ron Paul on foreign policy could not be more clear and perceptive. Wars need enemies to hate and this "non-troversy" about the Park 51 community center seems to be a perfect rallying cry for the bigoted war-mongers.
@micahgee Funny thing about the economy, if it wasn't for listening to Ron Paul, and people who think like him I would have been sunk instead of making money because they were the only ones who saw it, and nailed it. Maybe they see something that goes beyond regulation that our MSM doesn't tell you about.
Awesome video; typical factless sterotyping. The same foundation for the socio-economic warfare that has been waged and ongoing for at least twenty years in America, with its schisms in race, religion, or whatever as enemy scapegoats; free, constitutional, and democratic America always the ultimate casualty.
The GOP loves to scare old white people for political gain without much effort to hide the blatant racism. The "southern strategy" seems to never have ended; they have only switched targets to Mexicans, Muslims and Gays...
@micahgee Exactly; nice point. It's far worse, however, and entirely different. I live in Illinois. I think half the people here have lost their damn minds. Only worse is the fact they can't even lucidly articulate facts concerning their opinion half the time. It's all supposititon diametrically opposed to basic constitutional tenets.
He says "neither right nor left, neither Democrat nor Republican, neither Libertarian nor Socialist". I think the last contrast was inaccurate; the opposite of Libertarianism is Authoritarianism, not Socialism, and the opposite of Socialism is market Capitalism, not Libertarianism.
Thom Hartmann is an out and out weasal, he'll use you to make his few legitimate views lend greater legitimacy to his out and out ridiculous over-arching ideology. I know that Paul needs to get his message out where ever he can, but honestly, if invited I would refuse to go onto his show and dignify him with any of my time.

oculist2020 1 year ago
Actually he opened eyes on this mosque fiasco.
shortfu 1 year ago
@shortfu
Paul qualifies you in one of the three reasons.
shiftstart 1 year ago
@shiftstart
the hijackers did commit 9/11 in the name of islam but these hijackers, in no way, represent islam as a whole. just saying.
shortfu 1 year ago
@shortfu BUT islamb is also their form of govt.,,so, its not legally protected under freedom of religion....do you want a politician who is muslamb, when his religion is rooted in sharia law and oppressing women, etc?.

@13AJJONES Who is "their". Saudi Arabia is the only recognized government that recognizes Sharia Law.
Christianity is still used to oppress women...
Syphalis1 1 year ago
@Syphalis1 SO, JUST SAY ABSOLUTE CRAP AND LIES AND DONT FACE THE TRUTH !..YOU, OPPRESS WOMEN, YOU STONE TO DEATH, YOU BOMB WOMEN AND CHILDREN ON PURPOSE ! YOU YOU YOU ! IM NOT CHRISTIAN,...BUT I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL ! YOU DONT ! ANOTHER FACT !

@13AJJONES Think your CAPS lock got stuck again.

JigglesJingle 1 year ago
@JigglesJingle You are smoking crack. Ron does not belong to any of the secret societies. It is rumored Ron's father was a freemason, but never Ron himself. Also only less than 1 or 2% of freemasons understand and control the agenda so I highly doubt Ron's dad was one of the 2%. With as much fuss that the establishment makes over he and his son, it is safe to say Ron and Rand may be the best shot we have to restore the original intent of this nation before it collapses.
residentzombie 1 year ago
@residentzombie If you googled and actually researched.. you would understand that his wife is an admitted free mason from Velasco Order of the Eastern Star, a female free mason group. His 2 daughters are also free masons. Why do you jump to conclusions that he isn't when he is ?
JigglesJingle 1 year ago
@JigglesJingle Ok so everyone that belongs to freemasonry is a globalist elitest? lol You got to break away from this 100% agree with everything and 100% distrust everything mentality. Most freemasons have no idea what the true purpose of freemasonry is. Is it possible that Ron is controlled opposition? Yes, but he is the best chance we have. Everything this man has preached about for 30 years is against the New World Order and the agenda of the secret societies.
residentzombie 1 year ago
@residentzombie What about the agenda of Islam? He doesn't seem to talk about it, he looks like an appeaser. The ideology of Islam seeks to replace the US Constitution with Sharia Law, and he's not concerned about that at all?

CONTINUED...kinda...
Cuz if we just do that all day we'll only end up depressed and useless. i've SEEN it happen with my own two eyes. yes, the world is fucked up, and if you sit down and think about all the wrongs committed against man kind every single day, and then add those up with similar situations of the past, you'll only end up very paranoid, very stagnant, and very sad. and at that point you're useless to yourself, those around you, and your fellow countrymen.
soo be happy n ready. :)

@TertiusOculusOris Don't let paranoia or fear get to you brother. Trust. We must fight these people tooth and nail. Don't forget there are alot of NRA members like me out there. If they want to put us in a camp, in America, hahahaha...it wont work out well for them.
tstruss912 1 year ago
@tstruss912 Exactly the reason you shouldn't believe what someone is a position such as Ron Paul says. That's my opinion at least. I won't lie though, these days I'm paranoid whether or not I've smoked a little bud.. :/ Peace!
TertiusOculusOris 1 year ago
@TertiusOculusOris Ya, I gotcha. It's good to question people in any position of power. But we don't need Ron Paul to lead us anyway. We can get banking reform on our own just by banding together and making some noise. LoL on the bud, I used to toke but I still have the tat on my shoulder. Legalize it!
tstruss912 1 year ago
@TertiusOculusOris i'm skeptical of EVERYONE. I just think Ron Paul says more things I agree with than anyone else I've heard in mainstream politics, but the second he shows a sign of deception i'll drop my 'faith' in him like i have anyone else involved in our system.
i think we're all paranoid, but ya know what? don't let it get to you. live life and be happy. enjoy yourself everyday cuz we never know when shit might REALLY get bad. can't spend every waking moment worrying about the world.

@slhines7
Ron Paul is weak here.

d0861 1 year ago
Ron Paul is the the most principled man in the US government, I don't agree with some of his ideas about deregulation considering the BP disaster and the financial collapse mainly due to risky unregulated derivative trading.
However, Ron Paul on foreign policy could not be more clear and perceptive. Wars need enemies to hate and this "non-troversy" about the Park 51 community center seems to be a perfect rallying cry for the bigoted war-mongers.
micahgee 1 year ago
@micahgee Funny thing about the economy, if it wasn't for listening to Ron Paul, and people who think like him I would have been sunk instead of making money because they were the only ones who saw it, and nailed it. Maybe they see something that goes beyond regulation that our MSM doesn't tell you about.
yostevoak1 1 year ago
Awesome video; typical factless sterotyping. The same foundation for the socio-economic warfare that has been waged and ongoing for at least twenty years in America, with its schisms in race, religion, or whatever as enemy scapegoats; free, constitutional, and democratic America always the ultimate casualty.
PawnBACM 1 year ago
@PawnBACM
The GOP loves to scare old white people for political gain without much effort to hide the blatant racism. The "southern strategy" seems to never have ended; they have only switched targets to Mexicans, Muslims and Gays...
micahgee 1 year ago
@micahgee Exactly; nice point. It's far worse, however, and entirely different. I live in Illinois. I think half the people here have lost their damn minds. Only worse is the fact they can't even lucidly articulate facts concerning their opinion half the time. It's all supposititon diametrically opposed to basic constitutional tenets.
PawnBACM 1 year ago
Ron Paul, the most principled man in the whole US Congress!
saadasim 1 year ago 24
He says "neither right nor left, neither Democrat nor Republican, neither Libertarian nor Socialist". I think the last contrast was inaccurate; the opposite of Libertarianism is Authoritarianism, not Socialism, and the opposite of Socialism is market Capitalism, not Libertarianism.

Thom Hartmann is an out and out weasal, he'll use you to make his few legitimate views lend greater legitimacy to his out and out ridiculous over-arching ideology.
